It's almost always possible for things to get worse. We may not like the media available today and feel celebratory about it's destruction, but it is far from certain the thing that replaces it will be better.
The net effect of Elon Musk buying Twitter was that it had significantly less censorship and left-wing bias. Maybe he can do the same thing with CNN.
And Twitter > X also became a juvenile cesspool of racism, anti-semitism, misogyny, sexual perversion...etc that most decent people with moral scruples either ditched entirely or generally avoid. You make it sound like it became a better environment; it categorically/objectively did not. (Christian and many non-christians alike that I read/listen to generally agree on this...)
Kind of like what another low-character man did to the Republican Party... I hear lately that a typical campaign rally is full of crude language and weird monologues about men's bodies...particularly one part...
Personally I'd prefer the old twitter with its censorship and bias... I'd prefer the old Republican Party too... I'm curious why you would prefer the newer cruder versions...

A Confessing Church would acknowledge the inescapable realities of sin and injustice in every human institution, including every political party. It would wholeheartedly reject any suggestion that one party or movement is the party of God. Paul D Miller

I can't speak to the changes at Twitter/X or at Campaign rallies but you do raise an interesting question. Is ungodliness better or worse depending on how crude or socially offensive it is?

Twitter was all of those things before Elon Musk took it over; it just also had a veneer of left-wing coded censorship.
One thing I like about Twitter now is it doesn’t have pornography prominently on it. Pre-Elon Musk it was pretty much unusable due to this.

Interesting that you preferred it that way.
Why can’t we just condemn both things as bad instead of choosing political allegiances?
Awkward commercial breaks is not unusual in 24 hour news and it’s not unique to CNN. Capitalism

Also — there’s irony in that we’re discussing a news source on this forum that we’re not allowed to link to or quote.

An ad for Applebee’s isn’t a news source. The source I quoted was not CNN.

To be clear, links are not restricted, but embedded videos are. A CNN video published on Youtube is still a CNN video.
