What kind of food is tested with fetal stem cells???JohnH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 9:27 am I set my standard at "this drug wasn't developed using aborted baby tissue". So Tylenol is completely fine. If some modern-day pharmaceutical companies decide to use stem cell tissues for testing, that isn't my concern, although if I can find out a certain manufacturer did this, I would avoid them. (I treat food the same way - I absolutely avoid things that were developed using fetal stem cells. One of them can be found in many church kitchens.)

Nestle flavoured coffee creamers; some company found a way to build the same cells that are on your tongue by using aborted-baby stem cells, which are then used to develop and test different flavourings.Justfiguringitout wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 10:21 amWhat kind of food is tested with fetal stem cells???JohnH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 9:27 am I set my standard at "this drug wasn't developed using aborted baby tissue". Pepsi almost started using this "technology", but abandoned it under pressure to not do so, mostly due to a campaign organised by Children of God for Life. As far as I know, Nestle's flavoured coffee creamers are the only significant foodstuff still on the market that used this technology.
I prefer not to use aborted-baby parts to flavour my coffee (and by "use", I mean use to develop the flavouring).

So, I looked up the link and it listed coffee creamer and then "**PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO ABORTED FETAL MATERIAL IN ANY FOOD PRODUCTS!!!!" Seems bogus.JohnH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 10:51 amNestle flavoured coffee creamers; some company found a way to build the same cells that are on your tongue by using aborted-baby stem cells, which are then used to develop and test different flavourings.Justfiguringitout wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 10:21 amWhat kind of food is tested with fetal stem cells???JohnH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 9:27 am I set my standard at "this drug wasn't developed using aborted baby tissue". Nobody ever said there was. What was claimed (and which isn't disputed, by the way, by reaosnable people) is that fetal stem cells were used to develop the specific chemicals used for artificial flavouring in Nestle flavoured coffee creamers.Southerner wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 2:00 pm So, I looked up the link and it listed coffee creamer and then "**PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO ABORTED FETAL MATERIAL IN ANY FOOD PRODUCTS!!!!" Do you still consider that "bogus"? I am shocked at how much many people simply want to shut their eyes tight and pretend this isn't going on. It's not exactly some conspiracy theory; the "other side" of this has long claimed that using fetal stem cells is just fine.

I treat food...emphasis on food. And then you said that it's in church kitchens...seems like food again. So, aborted baby parts are in the church kitchen!

Developed does not mean produced with.

Developed does not mean produced with.
Tested with also is very different than produced with.
Some, however, do not recognize the difference.

Yes it is. I don’t see a difference in the ethics and neither do you.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 7:41 pm And we have people twisting them here for effect.

JM, do you use coffee creamer that was developed using fetal stem cells? I have a moral objection to it.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2026 7:41 pm And we have people twisting them here for effect.

Since some people need reminding, "developed with" doesn't mean "fetal stem cell tissues are in the mass produced product". I was very clear to claim that from the beginning, and so was the Children of God for Life website.
