We, as a society, have some hard re-learning in our future about vaccines and the pain of childhood death.
Perhaps we should first learn lessons about not murdering perfectly healthy babies first.
Please, stop this misinformation. You know full well that children are not aborted for the purpose of vaccine production, and the one abortion that was used to create the cell line is the only abortion that is connected with the vaccine. Stop pretending that avoiding the vaccine will stop abortion.

If you have evidence that abortions, except for the one in the 70s, are involved in the production of the MMR vaccine, feel free to present it. Otherwise stop.
Cleverly worded.

Carefully worded, to avoid side issues.

We are not discussing research here. The MMR vaccine is fully approved for routine use. You are trying to conflate clinical medicine with research. Research is not what will stop this epidemic. Clinical use of an already approved vaccine will.

This is confusing the issue at hand. If you have problems with research currently going on, which I do as well, we can discuss that.

Nope just pointing out your very narrow focus to justify.

We are not discussing research here. We are discussing an epidemic that is in progress, and two families are mourning dead children. We are putting out a fire.

We can discuss how the next “firehouse “ should be built at another time.

Only one abortion? Really?

This affects more than just vaccines. New drugs, new medical devices, and other things are also being contaminated by this. And it’s more than just one stem cell line.

Why don’t you direct your energy to promoting a non stem cell based vaccine? I’m happy to use vaccines that don’t involve aborted babies.

Do you have good information that the people who died are in fact children? Reports I read state that the ages, identities, and specific circumstances have not been publicly released.

Um…. Looked to me like you challenged views and are arguing for one specific view.
Let’s be honest here, you and I are not putting out any fire, this is just another argument over vaccines.

I’ve heard rumors it was old men and all my digging shows no one has accurate information as to young or old.

i well remember the terror measles-(i had more than 1 type) mumps, chicken pox, etc., brought to my mother (my father was probably worse, but even more stoic than my mother) as these diseases made their way through our home, 6 children.
The community. Schools rarely closed. Assignments were sent home.

i remember the piles of textbooks coming home. as-if. :-|

With the anguish she had for us, getting these diseases as children, she warned us, because adults did FAR worse, esp males.

She didn’t even mention the elderly, or those with other ailments.
i’m sure she knew. She didn’t want to “overload”. It was overload being so sick.

It was awful. It seemed like, every spring some new deadly disease would rear its ugly head.

Fear and dread of polio was the worst from what i recall. Everyone knew. Everyone feared these diseases.

Doctors made house calls.

Those experiences taught about the sanctity of life as nothing else i can imagine.
Every child got those lessons first hand.

People are dead, and likely it is unnecessary. The epidemic is still spreading. Measles is perhaps the most contagious disease we know of.

If that is not a fire, I don’t know what is.
