How on earth do you know he went there first class?JohnH wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 9:48 pm In other news, Mr. Leroy Miller has applied to have his criminal record for "forgetting" to wear pants and exposing himself to underaged Amish girls whilst engaging in indecent acts expunged. He does apparently meet the requirements for expungement. Court filing here:
Stutzman himself is currently taking it easy at a luxury resort in Belize, although he's technically there on official ministry business, conducting a seminar. Apparently, ministry is doing pretty good these days, since he and his wife were able to travel there on American in first class. Re: Trudy Metzger/Steve Stutzman
We certainly don't know all the sources, although I can tell you that one of them was a gentleman I knew who was sending him $3000 - $4000 a month whilst his wife often was struggling to find money to buy groceries.
That's quite a lot of book sales and CD sales. He was on vacation in the Middle East in May, Europe / Hungary including a river cruise on the Danube in June/July, and also had time for a quick trip "with the boys" on Amtrak (somewhat humbler accommodations, I'm sure) in July. His family was a missionary family when he was very young & growing up but he is an author (and so is his wife) and has many CDs they’ve been selling a long time. The Stutzman Family singers. I have bought a couple of their books. When I inquired via Facebook about his young life, he sent me a book no charge that tells their story.
When someone claims to be in "ministry", it's a valid question how they are going on multiple international luxury cruises and vacations in a year.

He elected to share with the general public a selfie of himself sitting in American Airlines' first class cabin on the way to Belize.
If you really want to see it, I'll be happy to share it here.

I don’t care to see it. Something is seriously messed up. The ministry/entertainment business looks quite lucrative.

I have a strong suspicion it's not actually about ministry.R7ehr wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 10:43 pmI don’t care to see it. Something is seriously messed up. The ministry/entertainment business looks quite lucrative.
Mr. Leroy Miller's "fundraiser" for a "sabbatical" is less than $200 shy of hitting $14,000.

Steve has a long history of deleting posts when the comments take a different turn than he prefers. In this case the post in question can be found as screenshots on Trudy's page.
That was a week or so ago. He was back in Lancaster Co. more recently.JohnH wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 9:48 pm Stutzman himself is currently taking it easy at a luxury resort in Belize, although he's technically there on official ministry business, conducting a seminar. Re: Trudy Metzger/Steve Stutzman
And the saga continues with back and forth between (so called Christian) people on Facebook. In the past two weeks there have been Facebook squabbles between Trudy and various other people, including, Steve Stutzman, James Peight, and someone called El Ly. I do not know these people, but one says one thing and another says something else. Each one has their followers, and the followers post comments against the others. The back and forth is unreal and disgusting. And none of it is a good testimony.
As for Leroy Miller seeking expungement. I believe his Character is far from stellar, but seeking expungement is legal and something that a person might have many reasons to do. Trudy posted the legal documents concerning his expungement request on Facebook. And posting those documents is a prime example of her tactics. Using carefully chosen words, making a big deal about something that really is none of her business but not making any accusations. She puts out the bait, her followers swallow the bait and fill in the blanks for her, making the accusations, accusing him of attempting to cover up his past crimes and various other accusations. I am not defending Leroy Miller, but before posting his expungement request documents, shouldn't he be given the chance to explain why he is seeking expungement, instead of having her followers make all kinds of assumptions.
Posting private information such as an expungement request on social media to a broad audience who have nothing to do with the situation, seems like gossip to me. The definition of gossip is a person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others.

And when the ministry becomes more entertainment, than ministry, it is entertainment and not a ministry. But I suppose that would be a whole other topic.R7ehr wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 10:43 pmI don’t care to see it. Something is seriously messed up. What “other reasons” might Leroy have to seek expungement?Grace wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2026 7:39 am And the saga continues with back and forth between (so called Christian) people on Facebook. Is it gossip when there is a predator (repentant or not) who is trying to “clear” his name when, by all appearances, he still isn’t a safe person for young girls/women?

It’s not private. It’s a public government / court record.Grace wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2026 7:39 am Posting private information such as an expungement request on social media to a broad audience who have nothing to do with the situation, seems like gossip to me.
