Somehow, I smell the distinct odor of Bethel-Redding in this.
The Lapp origins are actually in some secular, non-Christian stuff that was big in the 1960s. I did a long post on it back in the MD days.

Back then they were trying to sell some kind of (secular) inner-healing experience which included several package levels including learning how to become a practitioner so you could go and sell it yourself.
What cues me was the name it-claim it flavor.

An inmate raised his hand and said that some of the listeners had done the same thing. Needless to say, this was the last time this volunteer was permitted to speak in this prison.

The volunteer was from a local charismatic church. I think there is something about the charismatic name-it-and-claim-it theology that leads some to "declare" or "claim" something to be the case, believing it in faith, in hope that God will make it to be so. The idea of declaring something to be God's vision for oneself, or somebody else, or for an organization - this sort of thing. This kind of looks like that.
A student at our school is from a charismatic home where the bread winner quit working because God will supply. When we started calling about tuition we were told "you people not understand how God works." So far it seems God works through other parents shouldering the extra burden....
Went from bread winner, to 1 Thess. 3:10 disputer.

They don't strike me as overly charismatic but they are probably inspired by the general hucksterism in those circles.

One of their odder beliefs is that anyone who is divorced cannot be saved. I had an interesting go-round with them on that on Facebook years ago back when A. Eakle was still running the 'Becoming Conservative Anabaptist' group. It turns out they have some very, very odd views on salvation.

Yes they are heavily influenced by Bethel Redding and their colleges of the supernatural warfare. I personally know people in that sphere that attended those colleges and called Trump a prophet.

Name it- claim it is associated with, but not necessarily charismatic, it has its origin in Norman Vincent Peale, strangely enough.

I will try to look for that.

Part of their view on salvation is that if you are naming things and claiming them, but they aren't happening (i.e. you aren't "blessed") that you are probably then not saved.

Another view is that such lack of salvation can be ancestral, that is, you have to find some ancestor and cut them off / go through some kind of healing ritual to remove their spiritual influence on you.

For a modest fee, they will help you figure out exactly how to do that...

That may help explain why they find Trumpism so apealeing.

If the scene at 1:38 and following is not overly charismatic, I'm not sure what is.

Can anyone point me to their association with Trumpism and MAGA?

During one of Trump's campaigns, they had Ivanka Trump visit a Blessings of Hope facility. I remember news articles from that at the time. David Lapp has donated to conservative political action committees and ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for a local township seat. He also visited Mar a Lago for a private event of some sort. And really all you need to see to confirm support for Trump is David's Facebook page.
