My denomination still does 8th grade education, except in areas with a hostile state government that won’t respect the Wisconsin v Yoder decision, where we go to age 16 (tends to be middle of grade
10).

My wife went to such a school. Zero problems getting in with her 10th gr. dropout education.
It's interesting that Holdemen only go to 8th grade, but Holdewomen go to community colleges.
An astute observation; nearly everyone who goes to community college is indeed a woman. They would just go to 8th grade (or 10th grade dropout, for California), obtain a GED or equivalent, take the ACT or SAT or other entrance exams, and matriculate directly into community college.
So, it is ok for a gal to go to college to be a nurse, but not ok for a guy to go into a similar profession? That seems a bit selective.
In many, if not most, states, they can't begin clinical education until they turn 18. You have to be able to take personal responsibility for their decisions. Preclinical would be ok.

Did I say that?
Clearly implied that was the practice.
I just said it’s much more common for women to go to college (at age 30 or whatever) than men, not that it is somehow “ok” or not.
It’s also common to eat graham cracker fluff at funerals

I couldn't agree more, unless the husband's income is insufficient to support the family.

A wee little man can’t say, I’m sorry. A big man owns his mistakes and apologizes.
A wee little man trusts himself and his own discernment. A big man is humble enough to know that he needs the counsel and input of others.

I would agree. It seems far better for girls to help a new mom who needs a bit of extra help with a growing family.
