Sorry, but much I'm much less informed than all that. I was simply observing that the pews appeared to be filled to less than 50% of capacity.ACCGuy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 9:14 amAre you referring to the "Tower" of the Bluffton church? I always thought it was a Silo when I was a kid.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 8:50 pmLooks like they have lots of room in the granary!Swiss Brah wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 1:52 pm

That is the Smithville, Ohio Church. I just looked at the Livestream from a few weeks ago(last week was a wedding, so super full) Two weeks ago, on a normal Sunday, it seemed to be 3/4 full. We recently started a new church a few towns over and several large families left Smithville to help plant the new church.

Very interesting - I did not know things were still expanding in Wayne County. My brother goes to an acc church in Akron area that has a lot of accn people in it.ACCGuy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 22, 2025 8:34 am That is the Smithville, Ohio Church. What‘s the location, I‘d like to add it on the maps.

Canaan, OH - 2800 E Pleasant Home Rd - This congregation is mostly from Rittman, with a large group that has come over from the NCC. There are rumors of another new church being built in the Akron area in the next 5 or so years.
Another new one is:
Macleay - 1195 Howell Prairie Rd, Salem, OR
I have also taken the liberty of building off of your map, and adding quite a few churches that were not on your map, both historic and current.

Edit: Sorry for the late reply, I have not been on this site in quite some time.
If you have some time, feel free to check out ACCHistory.org. It is a work in progress.

Do you have any more information on migrations from the NCC (the "Dorislavic" groups?) There is also an ACC church somewhere near Akron that seems to mostly be composed of ACC-N background people. I am a bit curious what is going on.

I don't I have not been out to that area for several years. Several people from the new church were in my area this winter, and they were almost all former NCC members. They were all younger, and their parents were the ones that made the decision to move from the NCC to the ACCA, with some of them saying that they were ACCN for several years between the NCC, and ACCA.
I found it interesting that they seem to be less conservative than most of the ACCA/ACCN from that area. I assumed that them coming from the NCC would relate to them being more conservative.

I think it is quite the norm, that when a young person leave a more conservative group for a little more liberal group, he will be found among the most liberal in his new peer group.ACCGuy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 3:23 pmI don't I have not been out to that area for several years. That would be my thought, but it is that parents that came, not the young people. Most of the people making the decision to come over are 40+, they are just bringing their kids with them.R7ehr wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 3:44 pmI think it is quite the norm, that when a young person leave a more conservative group for a little more liberal group, he will be found among the most liberal in his new peer group.ACCGuy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 3:23 pmI don't I have not been out to that area for several years. The children have listened to the parents ideas, and have absorbed them. That’s what I’d propose.ACCGuy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 4:31 pmThat would be my thought, but it is that parents that came, not the young people.
