Can you earn eternal life?

Post by danfreed »

Inspiring lesson by Tony and J Mark (from Heralds of Hope ministry) on Jesus answering the question "How do I get eternal life?"

So happy to have been given the opportunity to receive eternal life as a gift from God through believing in Jesus. This belief is resulting in transformation of my attitudes and actions - including turning from idols - to worshipping and following Jesus. Praying that God will bless this message about the eternal life found only in Him.

Well worth watching!
Would love to hear your comments.

Finally got around to listen to this. Thanks for the recommendation.

I appreciated this (13:27): "In other words, 'I did everything right.' At least he thought he did. But once God's righteousness shows up and we have something to compare our righteousness with, then ours is about as effective as Adam and Eve's fig leaves."

Also (16:50): "He had a god before God... He was serving his possessions over God... Because his heart would have changed. And that's the key. And so despite his best intentions and actually his assertion that he had kept the law from his youth up, he had violated that first commandment which was obvious by what was going on in the conversation here."
