Dave Risen wrote:{snip}
But the piece of Jiang's analysis that nobody in mainstream media is discussing is what he predicted would happen inside the United States when American soldiers start dying at scale in Iran. "The moment that Americans start dying in the Middle East," Jiang told his students, "the moment they institute a draft, it will create chaos in America. People are going to protest, people are going to revolt." He predicted that the resulting domestic division — between those defending the old American empire and those rallying behind Trump's America First — would push the country toward civil conflict. And he predicted that Trump, facing an unwinnable foreign war and domestic chaos simultaneously, would use both as justification to consolidate power and pursue a third term. A failed war, in Jiang's analysis, does not end Trump. It gives Trump exactly the emergency he needs to make himself permanent.

It stopped sounding reasonable to me as soon as he referenced Jiang Xueqin as a trustworthy expert on the subject. I listened to one interview of Mr. Xueqin - he made it very clear that the Illuminati are pulling the strings for world events including the election of Donald Trump.

Actually, you might be interested in the other prediction that he gives with absolute certainty. He says that war will be declared with Iran and using war powers Trump will suspend elections and serve a third term as President of the United States. Prepare yourself to be outraged.
Maybe there's a reason nobody in mainstream media is discussing that...but we are.

If I were a member of the Castro family in charge of Cuba, I would strongly consider negotiating with Trump.

I do not know what the goal is or what the military objectives are or how they will know if they have been accomplished. After Venezuela and Iran, I also wonder if the United States is going to pick another country to do next.

I don't think this is going to be over quickly, I think these strikes have put things in motion that will take a long time to resolve.

No. Trump just said the other day after a 3rd assassin was at his home, that he doesn’t know how much longer he will live. He doesn’t cower to the reality people want to kill him, but he certainly knows it’s a real threat. They have confidence in the military doing their job, the equipment & the technology.

The attitude I find quite puzzling on this forum is the attitude of quite a few that they should simply kotow and submit to the most evil, wicked regimes possible, and then loudly complain about the government they live under engaging in modest attempts to deal with such wicked regimes.

There is no virtue in promoting vice.

Hear tell that Cuba is asking to negotiate with the US. Ever since their oil and money from Venezuela has disappeared they have no electricity and their country is desperate.

Maybe even more interesting is seeing some people here - who, not very long ago (a few weeks ago? a few months maybe?) were telling us that Trump would end wars, but not start any - now without 1% of irony or apparent self-awareness vigorously defending this admin and Hegseth's replaying all the GOP presidents of my lifetime, habit of starting unprovoked wars...based on flimsy justifications if not outright dishonesty... with the same macho chest-thumping christian crusader hubris (especially Hegseth) and apparently little long-term planning...

I'm not too surprised, but still... where's the face-palm emoji...

Please list those who said that, I know that’s not why I voted for him. I suppose I’m a Lone Ranger agreeing with justifiable war, as in this case. He offered the olive branch but Iran keeps chanting “Death to America ” and “Death to Israel”
So maybe you don’t mind the goal to destroy one’s own people like the massive slaughtering in Iran, as well as hoping to end America and Israel. Let’s not be naive if their intentions.

Trump did not start Hamas, Hezbollah, or October 7. The Iranian regime has been threatening the U.S. and others for a long time, and it would be an utter disaster if the regime had nuclear weapons.

We can see what they would do:
- Attack, kill, and execute their own people
- Draw fire to schools and hospitals
- Conduct endless attacks on their neighbours

Now just imagine if they also had nuclear weapons. People who claim to be for "peace" should not be promoting violent, homicidal regimes acquiring nuclear weapons.

If you want to see peace, the right thing to do is call for the unconditional surrender of the IRGC.
