The way I understand it for quite a while wars have been conducted illegally according to a strict reading of the Constitution. I understand the "living document" concept, that the Constitution can be interpreted differently through the years, but it seems to me there should be some level at which Congressional approval is still required. Is there any direction this conflict could take that would lead you to call for a vote, or can that provision now be permanently ignored because of "how the Democrats are these days"? Would you feel any differently if the president was a Democrat?Valerie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 1:51 pmWhere do “I” think? You’re asking the wrong person but if you can’t take a chance with information leaking the way the left is right now,,,,, trust issues PLUS the Dems shut down the government.

Are these sonic booms, baby booms, sailing vessels, or extensions like the boom of a crane?
Or perhaps the booms are internally sourced?

I think the US could have the big cargo planes ready to go at various places without giving away the date.Soloist wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 1:42 pmThat is unrealistic. You expect the government to inform a bunch of Americans and have them keep their mouths shut? And or not somehow tip off the actual attack date? I mean… anyone who didn’t know it was coming was missing the big red truck with the aircraft carriers…

A wee little man can’t say, I’m sorry. A big man owns his mistakes and apologizes.
A wee little man trusts himself and his own discernment. A big man is humble enough to know that he needs the counsel and input of others.

So dual citizens are only Americans in quotes?JohnH wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 12:56 pmWhich would be info easily accessible by Iran.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 12:52 pmLine up carriers like Atlas air, and don’t give the purpose of the flights. It is not the US’s job to make it easy to take vacations to the Middle East.
Most of the “Americans” in these places are dual citizens anyway.

I wouldn't advise living near government buildings in Havana in the spring/summer of '28. Just to be safe...

Line up carriers like Atlas air, and don’t give the purpose of the flights. They do military charters all the time. Those 747 high density planes have like 500 seats. Only fly as far as Ankara or Delhi. Turn around for another run. BTW the state department used to charge full fare for flights. American Express preferred. My data is about 30 yrs old, but I doubt it changed

So far the hearings in the Epstein files show Trump uninvolved- Bill Clinton however was sweating bullets but Bill Clinton said Trump was uninvolved from what he knew. Trump seems to be clear so far from those who are testifying.ohio jones wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 2:20 pmAre these sonic booms, baby booms, sailing vessels, or extensions like the boom of a crane?![]()

You mean like the last two presidents that didn’t wait for congressional approval? It all depends- Bidens decision (or whoever was really running Biden presidency since he was not really running the country) obviously made a bad decision and from what I understand Obamas decisions made things worse- there’s so much being explained right now it’s hard to keep up!Wesleyb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 2:08 pmThe way I understand it for quite a while wars have been conducted illegally according to a strict reading of the Constitution. No, that's not what I mean. Whether decisions were good or bad, should they have gotten approval from Congress first? Why or why not?Valerie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 3:18 pmYou mean like the last two presidents that didn’t wait for congressional approval? IST would be much better than ESB for onward connections, or just the capacity of the airport for that matter, and only slightly farther. Atlas Air has at most three 500+ seat 747s, but there may be other similar charter carriers.Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2026 3:03 pmLine up carriers like Atlas air, and don’t give the purpose of the flights.
