There’s your proof right there that AI autocorrection can’t even get a simple book title right. I typed in “George Orwell's book Nineteen Eight-Four”. Those old typewriters were a lot more honest and dependable than some software writer.

This would be good IF the executive branch followed the laws passed by Congress. It doesn't.

Congress can pass laws to change that, hold hearings, and even file lawsuits.
Ultimately they can withhold funding and everything stops almost immediately.

Post #4 in this thread took it in a political direction (as usual), completely irrelevant to the original topic.
It seems some posters would really benefit from simply opting in to the political discussion board.

Alas it appears the old typewriter can't even get the simple book title right either.JohnL wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:07 amThere’s your proof right there that AI autocorrection can’t even get a simple book title right. You run all your posts through an AI first?JohnL wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:07 amThere’s your proof right there that AI autocorrection can’t even get a simple book title right. This isn't entirely new. If you're familiar with someone you can often figure out who they are even when they're posting anonymously, though AI can do it at scale. Once I had someone who had anonymously slandered someone else but from the language and the things said it seemed obvious to me who the slanderer was. I later found out that others had drawn the same conclusion.
But what AI giveth, AI also taketh and if it gets too bad you can always start having AI rewrite your posts in it's own words, though you can't hide the sorts of things you say.

The original model number scheme from the 1940s was Series 90 (larger than Series 60, 70, 80) + 8 cylinder = 98, later spelled out as Ninety Eight, even after the downsizing of '85 when the only available engine was a V6. Sadly, the 98 was discontinued after '96 and didn't quite make it to the eponymous model year. The Four could refer to 4 doors.barnhart wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 8:52 amAnd an interesting Olds, let's see 90 barrel carbs, 8 speed transmission and quad exhaust...
