I am hearing the following possible positions:

1. I don't trust government, they should be transparent and accountable. There is a real chance that government can shoot someone without cause or mistakenly accuse someone who is innocent or perhaps even intentionally make up charges against someone to harass them.
2. I trust my political faction, but I don't trust anyone else's political faction. This is war, and I want my political faction to defeat the other side. If they say someone is guilty, I believe them. If someone from the other side is shot, I trust them. Sometimes we are even at war between different branches of government.
3. I trust my government completely. If they say someone is guilty, I trust them. If they shoot someone, I trust them.

Are there other positions I should consider? I am a #1 guy. I think #2 is the position that leads to civil war. I doubt that anyone on MN is a #3 person.

For Renee Good's shooting, I think #1 people want an investigation into the shooting. Which is customary in the United States.

P.S. I think I could add:

4. I don't know who to trust except for God. I pray for the good of the country, but I do not put my trust in man, period, and I do not want to say how it should be governed.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

I identify with #4 more than the other 3. Because the Scripures even teach not to trust in man/leaders while I recognize I trust some more than others, I consistently pray for discernment, I trust the Holy Spirit to guide me but I’m not immune to blind spots and so for me only #4 can I completely align to.

As he should be if not more time.
The speed of which so many were hired for ICE I imagine there will some evil that slips through the cracks. I admit to be clueless to the screening of potential ICE agents.
I also believe there should be better training- I doubt there’s any more stressful job on the entire country.
Why do you believe there should be better training? Did something happen that made you think that there should be better training?

Does it take Trump admitting this before the rest of the Republican admit it?

Because a soldier goes through boot camp and ICE is up against the enemy every single day.
I haven’t heard about a lot of their mistakes but I’ve seen what they are up against and people that join our military get at least 6 weeks solid rigid training.

No it doesn’t take Trump admitting it we just find ourselves defending them because they are called NAZIs which only inflames and scares people to those following lawful orders. As opposed to the criminals that they are looking for. I’ve seen on here people post their mistakes. Dealing with what they do, like a soldier in combat, it’s extremely risky & stressful- they will probably suffer PTSD.
Thank you Biden & those who voted for him to let millions in illegally to where we have this situation which will probably take years to correct.

Why is it necessary to defend them because they are called Nazis?

Because that rhetoric is false. The left is using that to “scare the public” . They are not doing ethnic cleansing and putting them in concentration camps and killing them like NAZIs did the Jews. Millions poured into our country illegally & so the NAZI accusation is FALSE and used to scare & divide people. Trump was elected for “one “ (among many) reasons to take care of this problem. He secured the borders successfully as should be, asked illegals to self deport and a lot have but millions have not but they are offered $1000 tabs a free pane trip back “home” then an opportunity to enter back legally.
Of course that stinks for democrats who were counting on their illegal “votes” as they were pushing for and were given illegal drivers license.
All this is nothing like NAZI Germany. Trump didn’t invent Homeland Security. nor ICE.

Well, let’s see. We had four years of Trump before he did a lot of good things. He followed through on appointing conservative judges. He did everything that we voted him in for and was the only president that was actually able to reverse Roe V Wade. I will return to this topic in three years to see if all your suspicions are true and that we begin ethnic cleansing, killing people and putting them in concentration camps that seems to be where you think this is leading if you’re saying it didn’t start there.

I’m not saying where it will go. I’m saying that there are some parallels to how they started.

ICE is up against a military enemy every single day? We are at war?

I think that's what some politicians have implied. We are in a civil war, we are fighting "the enemy within", which means "people who seriously disagree with us and what we are doing". But democracy means having room for different opinions and values.

Thought experiment: Do a Google Image search for "paramilitary". Now do a Google Image search for "ICE agents Minnesota". Compare the two.

https://www.google.com/search?q=paramilitary&tbm=isch

https://www.google.com/search?q=ICE+Age ... a&tbm=isch

Compare the first two to "police":

https://www.google.com/search?q=police&tbm=isch

The rhetoric treats ICE agents as paramilitary forces against the "enemy within". Do we want something like a civil war or do we want democracy? Are paramilitary troops in American cities the usual way to promote democracy?
