Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

Right.
And we can do the same for Greenland, Colombia, Cuba, and Mexico.

I assume Canada is firmly in the empty threat category? Last time we took them on, they burned our White House ...
The president of Columbia knew what to do after the Maduro kidnaping - he called Trump to make nice. Do we know, has Trump gotten a late Christmas card from Mark Carney yet?

I read speculation that those heavy planes they moved to the UK were potentially for doing something against Iran, but then it turned out that at least some of that was to support the capture of the 'Russian' oil tanker. Which apparently the UK helped with.

The Russians are expected to rain down missiles on Ukraine tonight. The world seems like a scary place at the moment.

You don’t move AC130s to support a boarding action.

Looks like the US moved 2 of those to the UK along with 10 or more transports in the last few days.

These transports likely carried equipment, personnel, and possibly helicopters (e.g., MH-47 Chinooks or MH-60 Black Hawks) for special forces support.

Two AC-130J Ghostrider gunships, which arrived at RAF Mildenhall. These heavily armed aircraft provide close air support and are often used in special operations.

Those are not too hard to get on the black market. A Newsweek article cited by Wikipedia says there were 30,000 receivers and an estimated 100,000 users at the time, a year ago. Of course that doesn't go far in a country of 92 million people, but it's not nothing.

An obvious question is how organic these protests in Iran are - past protests are notorious for just being CIA-led colour type revolution activity.

I think it’s highly probable but we wouldn’t know that for years for sure.

I’m sure some of it is natural, but it might be that it was increased by money in the right hands or more.

Mat 24:6-14  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.
And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Wife: I’m surprised that I didn’t know that this was in three separate gospels. Must’ve been a pretty important passage, and each one reads slightly different. It’s something I have to remind myself of as well when I’m tempted to be discouraged by the state of affairs in the world. God knows how this will all turn out and is still on His throne.

Amid mass protests in Tehran and western Iran, the internet has gone down.

At the same time, there has been a sharp spike in fast-food orders around the Pentagon — the so-called “pizza index,” which is informally associated with preparations for military operations.

According to media reports, protesters have already taken control of three cities. The latest is the million-strong city of Karaj.
I've never heard of the "pizza index" before.

Yeah, it’s not necessarily accurate and sometimes it’s false information.
If they’ve taken control of cities, that’s organization that protesters usually don’t have.
