I think Sunday school books should repeat every 28 years and stop throwing the old book away.

Interesting - so they don’t update their lessons?

They do, but the basic outline is on a 28-year cycle. They aim to complete the Bible every 7 years, but one 7-year cycle will focus on Matthew, the next on Mark, and so on. I think they also study differant of the OT books each cycle.

My impression was that the International SS Lessons are on a 3 year cycle. But a quick on-line search indicates that ISSL repeats every 6 years for adults, and more often for children, like every 2 or 3 years. After teaching SS for more than 50 years, this constant repetition got so tedious for my Dad that he said he would only continue teaching SS if they allowed him to do book by book studies of the Bible. That's all he did then until Alzheimer's had taken so much from him that he was no longer able to keeps his thoughts together.

That's an unusually specific number.

Yes, although it should probably be shortened to CL now that they have rebranded to simply Christian Light.

Well, then the pre-printed dates would line up (except for 1900 and 2100).

Could I get y'all to post some links to these quarterly lessons? I'm interested in these to show to our pastor.
