A wee little man can’t say, I’m sorry. A big man owns his mistakes and apologizes.
A wee little man trusts himself and his own discernment. A big man is humble enough to know that he needs the counsel and input of others.

I'm looking forward to reading the book again. I'm not sure if I got the whole book read years ago or not.
Amos Hoover, the Old Order historian, told my dad years ago that the neat thing about getting old is the enjoyment of learning something all back over again, after having known something and forgotten it.

I don't intend to read the footnotes and indices, but hopefully I'll make it through most of the text. Eventually.

I haven't gotten even 1/4 of the way through Unser Leit yet.

I am proud to say I read through that set. I think my bookmark is 1/4 or 1/3 the way through The Earth is the Lord's. I really need to get back to reading it.

It will be interesting to see if the first two editions maintain a much higher value than the last printing.

No, I bought mine for $60 used on Amazon in 2011.
Long time ago, I bought Edsel Burdge's book Building on the Gospel Foundation used on eBay for like $40, and it had a letter tucked in it saying it was a complimentary copy. It was addressed to one of the writers of the blurbs on the jacket, who apparently didn't want the book. I don't know, maybe he already had one, but I thought it was funny that he promptly put the book on eBay.

It would be a very long game, but one could make a lot of
money by forming a conservative group, getting it to grow prolifically, writing a history of it, and then letting the book go out of print.

Here is a recording of the meeting I and others of you missed a couple weeks ago. I found Stephen Nolt's speech particularly interesting and would encourage everyone to listen to it who has interest in Anabaptists.
