That seems like a highly political topic, though.

I’m sure you can explore that in the political subforum. I think that’s what it is for.

... explore whether or not it's a political topic? I don't think the political subforum is for that.

I'm saying that people wanting to discuss their opinions that they think the government isn't following its own laws probably best belongs in the Politics subforum.

I disagree. I suppose if it bothers you, it could be flagged and we can have the mods determine if my opinion is political.

Although I do think this is definitely a bunny trail and worthy of the bunny trails.

Romans 13. Two Kingdom theology. In this case, history - the Romans did not have a way to choose a new Caesar without violence for a very long time, which resulted in a lot of violence.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

AP / White House says admiral ordered follow-up strike on alleged drug boat, insists attack was lawful

.. Congress wants answers
Senate Majority Leader John Thune on Monday broadly defended the operations, echoing the Trump administration position that they’re necessary to stem the flow of illegal narcotics into the United States.

Thune said the committees in Congress will conduct oversight looking into what happened.
“I don’t think you want to draw any conclusions or deductions until you have all the facts,” he said of the Sept. 2 strike.
“We’ll see where they lead.” ..
i’m not in favor of any killing, no matter party or administration.
there has been too much in my lifetime. i can’t comprehend it.

i’m also not in favor of drug and human trafficking. crimes and sins. enablers are complicit and should be held accountable.
i don’t begin to know how to respond to it on any government level, local or international.
it’s caused untold damage.

i pray for ALL in leadership to be led on right paths in their heavy responsibilities.
Mainstream news outlets seem to be agreeing now with the administration’s statements about that controversial follow-up strike.

So what does this new information do about the argument that it was okay to blast wounded survivors who are “clinging to a sinking boat”?
Is that now a crime again? Or is it now legal since it has been argued by the Republicans that it was legal when that was the story?

Will the public receive a blow-by-blow account of every action in Ukraine?
Will lost billion(s) be accounted for?

i’m unclear as to how certain incidents receive unlimited scrutiny, while most goes almost without question.

With 20+ sources breathlessly reporting, some repeating others’ info, all mixed with opinion+speculation .. ??
It’s so gruesome. And impossible to know.

There is tremendous violence in the world, mostly ignored.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

And that has what do do with the OP exactly?
