I suppose in about four more years we can expect them to admit that this was an apology forced by the current administration. I don't think it likely that they had some sort of conversion experience and now suddenly care about the truth.
What information did the Biden Administration MAKE them censor and how did they MAKE them do it?
I have no idea. Why do you ask me?
I'm just responding to the thread in general and I guess Temp who typed out: "Google ADMITS Biden MADE Them Censor, YouTube Brings BACK MAGA!"

Temp's claim is that Biden MADE Google censor. So I'm asking what did Biden make them sensor and how did they make them do it?

Allow me to introduce the concept of “copy+paste”.
i add those, esp to remind of what links are about, in the FREQUENT event of cancellation, termination of content.

There are examples of cancelled content all over this forum.

As has been discussed numerous times, headlines frequently do not match content, or exaggerate, etc.
In general, i’m not a headline-reader, only. i don’t recommend it.

Ken, if you actually want to know, you could go and read the Twitter Files. Or read Matt Taibbi's latest commentary on the Google situation.

No need to venture far. All discussed in this topic.
Matt T’s name appears 19 times in a simple search of this one topic. There’s a Matt T topic.
i’ll look for his google opinions!

This topic was never an “i love Elon” OR “i hate Elon” - (not always clear).
The intent was more, “how about discussing Elon?” :) and twitter and b.bee.

YT and google were added as RELATED to the general theme. As Robert astutely picked up on. P.114

Other topics have gotten into FB, FBI, and others .. involved in controlling narratives, shall we say?

Yes I did and the assertion above is false. The Biden Administration didn't MAKE Google do anything. In the middle of a pandemic and public health emergency, public health officials brought to Google's attention the fact that there were some users on YouTube who were disseminating false and dangerous information for profit. False information that could and did lead to deaths. Google appropriately reviewed the content, agreed with that conclusion, and took it down. As is their right and responsibility as a private company. There is no constitutional right to disseminate false information on YouTube for profit during a pandemic. Especially information that can lead to people's deaths.

But bottom line? They weren't "made" to do anything.

And did the government not “make” Twitter do anything?

Did you actually read the Twitter files?

Yes, the government didn't make Twitter do anything either. In fact that is exactly what the Supreme Court subsequently ruled. Keep up: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/suprem ... rcna151356
Supreme Court tosses out claim Biden administration coerced social media companies to remove content

The court overturned an injunction that would have limited contacts between government officials and social media companies on a wide variety of issues.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday threw out claims that the Biden administration unlawfully coerced social media companies to remove contentious content.

In reaching its conclusion, the court overturned an injunction that would have limited contacts between government officials and social media companies on a wide variety of issues if it were allowed to go into effect. The Supreme Court had previously put the injunction on hold.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre welcomed the ruling, saying it will help the administration "continue our important work with technology companies to protect the safety and security of the American people, after years of Republican attacks on public officials who engaged in critical work to keep Americans safe."

The court found on a 6-3 vote that plaintiffs did not have standing to sue, in part because they had failed to adequately allege that the content moderation at issue was as a result of government actions.

Writing for the majority, conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett said the plaintiffs, Republican attorneys general in Louisiana and Missouri, along with five social media users, had failed to show they had suffered harm at the hands of specific government officials.

She noted that social media platforms routinely moderated content even before the alleged coercion happened.
Which is in marked contrast to what is happening today with the Trump Administration using the FCC to extort broadcasters by threatening to block proposed mergers. Like they did with the recent Jimmy Kimmel fiasco. And Trump himself using the courts to sue media outlets over constitutionally protected content.

It was Nexstar and Sinclair that put the presser on to cancel Jimmy Kimmel. The FCC did not take any action.

And he has received several settlements so it must not be too far fetched. Both companies settled out of court so they did not have to go through discovery. Most likely even worse is being hidden.

The government did coerce. This has been documented. Just because the social media companies complied does not mean it is right.

One of the amusing things about the Trump Administration is how he constantly makes liars of his supporters.

Here he is saying that the White House WAS involved in Kimmel's cancellation and he is actually threatening to extort them again
