If you missed it, Christian Evangelicals on TikTok have spent the last few days getting ready for the end of days—the Rapture—which was meant to occur on 23 September.
Unfortunately for RaptureTok, the day of Judgement did not arrive—it was just another Tuesday.
So…who’s still here?

Whenever I grow tired of the Catholic related topics something comes along that makes me so happy to be one.
I am truly thankful to belong to a group that does not believe in the rapture nonsense

So I’m guessing we’re all still here, or does heaven just have good WiFi?

One of the sadder observations is ministry that will formally say “we do not no the day or time BUT….”
The reality is, there is an ego (for all of us), where a minister (or anyone) just cannot believe they might live, die and NOT be here for the endest of end times. God really does not need you or me to fulfill His plans.
It is a shame, because that guy might otherwise be really sound. But that one fixation mars it. I a, quite comfortable identifying as a very small cog.
I remember being tempted by this stuff as a teenager. Older people in my life, even ones with very strong pre-millenial views were mostly very cautious or skeptical. But it was enticing. All the newly revealed hidden knowledge about new moons, red heifers, feast days, the newly established nation of Israel, Daniel's prophecies. Yes, Jesus did say no man knows . . . but there were ways to get around that. I never really bought in to it, now I'm becoming one of those elders that needs to provide an example of not being caught up in speculation like this, instead living a steady Christian life for however many years I'm here.
My grandfather was deeply interested and fascinated by end-times theology. This was in the era before internet speculation and he had all kinds of chart and books. I actually found it kind of traumatizing because I found it terrifying. I've made my peace with Revelation since then.
