If only he could get a chapter in the Martyr's Mirror, the lithograph could be "The American Comeback".
But, alas, a political one. Not worthy material for such a book, nonresiteant he was not.
He wasn’t, although promoting open debate, listening to people you disagree with, and encouraging the ballot box over violent revolution is certainly the direction I’d prefer to see taken, politically speaking.

I really, really don’t like people like Andrew Tate or Nick Fuentes influencing young people… Charlie Kirk was a force for good and an alternative to that other message.
It is an unspeakable tragedy to see someone killed for their beliefs. I hope that is not where we are headed, although I fear the worst.

Remember, our ideas are unacceptable to the mainstream.

He was young. Convicted, but not “finished”. No one knows where he would have been, given time.
From what i understand, just listening to bits+pieces this week, he had potential, he was seeking Truth.

It won’t be known.

Now, his wife.
Shocked, hurt, angry, vulnerable. She will be pushed and tested. Not a good time to be making decisions.

Is this the end of a dark chapter in our history, or the beginning of a darker chapter in our history? That's up to us and the way we respond to this.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

Some amazing content i’m glad to have viewed.

i’m sure the governor is speaking in a state of shock.
It’s time to be merciful.

One thing that has become glaringly obvious since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, is the differences in responses versus that of George Floyd.

George Floyd was drug addict, convicted of drug possession numerous times, criminal trespass, aggravated robbery, with a deadly weapon where he pointed it at a pregnant woman's belly, threatening to kill her and her baby. After his death there was rioting, buildings burned, looting, people's lives destroyed, and others injured due to the unrest. etc.

Charlie Kirk was a God-fearing faithful husband and father. Kirk more than likely was murdered simply because of what he believed, and what was the response? There was and still are prayer vigils, gatherings with singing and praying, etc. No rioting, no burning down buildings, no burning businesses, and people physically harmed.

When George Floyd died, we saw people moved towards ungodliness. With Kirk's death we are seeing people move towards following the Lord. I think the responses to the deaths of George Floyd and Charlie Kirk, is a clear picture of good versus evil, the demonic and righteousness, light and darkness.

And if this post crosses the line from "current events" to "politics" I apologize.
A note no burnings, no buildings burned to the ground, a note, no riots took place, a note nothing was destroyed except the life of Charlie Kirk and that of his family and friends. I thought it was worth noting that Charlie Kirk’s assassination led to absolutely zero violence.

^^i’m shaken by the level of hate, and magnitude of hate on display.
i viewed a small fraction of what appears. also, what appears to be serious mental illness, on public display.
it appears without filter, as-if it’s credible. some examples are of teachers and other professionals, acting out on camera.

this is a time for prayer.

i’m uplifted, first, by what i saw in Catholic response to Pope Leo, so many young people! now this.
seeking Truth+Light. i view with gratitude. i’m thankful to witness. God is allowing me to witness.
unexpected.

wrt politics, i see your point, it’s not much on my mind. i see many libs in all countries, rejecting murder.
true, they aren’t getting the airtime.

murder is not inherently a partisan sin or crime.
it’s up to humanity to not allow it to go there.

too much has been allowed to become politicized.
that’s the responsibility of individuals, families, churches, schools.

this is my main fear for Erika.
that in her shock and anger she might put political activism above her faith. i pray not.
the temptations will be great and nonstop. she needs protection.

- - - - - - -

from what i’m seeing, i’m wondering if i will witness Thomas Sowell and others become required study in public schools.
sacred cows are being questioned. it’s been so long. he’s in his 90’s! that’s an indicator!

I suggest that as Christians, we look to what is good, just, and right, and continue to preach that message, and look away from the evil deeds of darkness.

Yes.
Not to be unaware or to deny. Matt 10:16 / https://biblehub.com/matthew/10-16.htm

This is where i credit the longevity of Mennonites and others surviving unarmed in a violent world.

I think somehow you’re missing out on the magnitude of good responses all over the country! It’s phenomenal, never saw anything like it! Praise and thanks be to God for all the young people that have given their lives to Christ and accrediting Charlie Kirk’s influence and hearing the Gospel from him.

Last night we watched the prayer vigil & memorial in Washington DC. To hear all the politicians declare their faith and boldness in Christ it’s was simply like nothing I’ve seen out of DC. There’s been an increase of 32,000 requests for chapters of his organization the past 3 days across the country so let the protesters be their usual self, good is being glorified!

i think mostly on campuses!
this is where i see the possbility of Thomas Sowell becoming a household name.

egregious lib dominance may fade.
when God moves, big changes can happen quickly. beyond human imagination.

i pray for Jesus to be central, not government.
this was where the world went wrong in the 60’s. seeking after gov for answers. it began with good intentions, then hijacked.

from what i’ve heard of CK this week (i.e., very little) - he was careful to place his messages on God, first.
his desire was to be remembered as a Christian - above all - this is critical. and easily lost in noise.

i pray for Erika.
she will be tested hard. harder than CK.
she will need terrific faith and vision. at the time she least needs it.

P.17 has several worthwhile links to positives.
msm won’t air. remember how they efficiently ignore March For Life, year after year.
