when, not long ago, funding was abruptly shut down for those kindly declining to bake a specific cake, photograph a specific wedding, or denying a hotel room for a specific reason? Based on religious convictions?

i don’t believe anyone could be more confused about all this than me.
Indeed. Bank accounts and GoFundMes got shut off for truckers in Canada protesting COVID lockdowns that lasted years. Yet we're supposed to believe raising $200,000 to defend an obvious murderer is OK?

Crowdfunding platforms have a choice what they choose to allow. Allowing this is wrong. They are not passive participants.

i had no idea who Taylor Lorenz was, i have no desire to know more about her.
i’ve seen other examples of her attitude. i agree with Matt Walsh, it’s disturbing to think anyone thinks this way.

This can’t be anyone’s definition of civilization. i’d like to think this is someone’s very bad joke.

Recklezz is a young man in Indiana struggling with this human created construct:
Cheering+funding felony crime

i feel his pain.

13:20min mark: Recklezz says, “God sees all.” .. amen, young man.

Recklezz / Internet OUTRAGED As Killer Karmelo Anthony's Mom SHOWS OFF $850K Home & Car Bought From DONATIONS / 19+min

Of course, there has been no trial.
Please don’t misconstrue any of this as a final judgment on the crime. Not intended.

As one whose cousin was hit+killed by a car not long ago, the driver was not even taken to the police station, drove away from the scene, without a driving citation, i’m pretty sure MANY are wondering “what on earth” is going on wrt “unaliving” people, even when it’s purely accidental?

“NOTHING TO SEE HERE” is bad enough. Cheering, funding, REWARDING, ENRICHING, is gasp-worthy.

i’ve read, Karmelo Anthony’s fund is now over $500,000. and climbing.

1) what does this do to ambitious wannabe copycats? social media is full of them. They aren’t shy.

2) what does this do to Karmelo Anthony’s young soul? i’m afraid for him.

3) i pray the victim’s family, Austin Metcalf, is somehow shielded from news reporting.

prayers for all. souls are at risk.

Until this week, I hadn’t really followed Charlie Kirk—our household usually steers clear of most news and commentary from either side.

But after hearing his voice on important issues in the days since his passing, I wish I had listened sooner.

I don’t always agree with sports commentator Stephen A. Smith, but I deeply respect what he shared here.

Last night, a song came on No Shoes Radio while I was driving, and my thoughts immediately went to Charlie’s wife and children.
My heart broke for them.

Temp, I feel the sadness and fear in what you wrote. These stories are awful, and I get shaken too when I read them. It makes sense to grieve and feel unsettled.

At the same time, I think your post is more an emotional outburst than a clear argument—and that’s okay. The media feeds that because fear and outrage get attention, even though overall crime has been going down. I hear you tying this to things like crowdfunding, cheering crime, double standards, abortion, and defense lawyers. For me, I want to stay with the grief and pray for the families without letting media-driven fear or politics define how I see the bigger picture.

1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

This topic has one purpose, to point out the horrifying reality that ANYONE would “cheer+fund” felony crime and violence.
i find this both outrageous and new, that is, the use of the internet to promote it is new -
it’s my hope that most will recognize the wrong in it and reject it.

Those engaging deserve to know Truth, cheering evil is wrong. They are in need of prayers.

Jesus didn’t minister to stats. i want to be with Jesus. i know you do, too.

i’m not a fan of Stephen A. Smith. i appreciate his view on this. Many listen to him.
Many need to know, cheering murder is WRONG.

That doesn't seem accurate to me. And I worry about how that kind of accusation can be used.

I don't think the culture wars are doing anything good for America.

Starting with the OP, the topic is about cheering+rewarding/crowd fundng felony crime, including AMBUSH+EXECUTE murders. Please use the ignore option, or just ignore, if you’re not interested.

It’s not an easy topic.

Basically, you’re using soft words to accuse me of lying. Not appreciated.

As far as I can tell, you are objecting to legal funds for people accused of crimes and not yet convicted. Is that true? Or are you saying something else?

To me, at least, cheering and rewarding felony crime is more like egging people on to commit crimes, justifying the crimes themselves, blatantly pardoning felony crimes, etc.

There actually have been some examples of that kind of thing, but I don't think they are mentioned in this thread. Crowds cheering people on when they ambush and execute people. Saying someone deserves a fair trial is a different thing altogether.

i’m using the word, “crowd” in the way it’s used wrt crowd funding, as referenced in the OP.
Virtual crowds.

Questions about crowd funding arose when GFM subjectively closed accounts started to help mom+pop bakers with legal defense.
i didn’t like it. They didn’t ask me.

Now accounts are made that ENRICH and applaud suspected murderers, no accounts closed, to my understanding.
The numbers go beyond legal defense.
i don’t like it. They haven’t asked me.

i have consistently stated DUE PROCESS is imperative.
social media and crowd funding do NOT wait for due process.

My emotion in this topic is the moral degeneration required to applaud and reward violent crime and murder. Amorality.
Before or after due process.
