Apparently, millennials are interested in antique shops; one I know just rented and opened a space (launching on Tuesday) with lots of individual seller booths in it. They’ve already all been rented out. My millennial-aged business partner makes most of her money dealing in antiques, albeit from the mid century modern era.

Cracker Barrel, on the other hand, is a restaurant that serves up microwaved food worse than what you can make at home.

THE HILL / Cracker Barrel reverses course, sheds new logo after backlash

Alissa Heinerscheid‘s Cracker Barrel cousin didn’t get the memo.

This is one of the goofiest culture war issues I’ve seen the right wing fall far.

#1, Bud Light didn’t change their logo or rebrand.

#2, Cracker Barrel never did anything “woke”. This isn’t a left vs. right issue. They did spend $700 million on a rebranding which has been universally panned, and they have drastically reduced the quality of the food at their restaurants over the past 6 months (eg the biscuits aren’t fresh baked anymore but are just pre-frozen and then thawed/microwaved).
I think k Cracker Barrel did plenty that was woke. The logo was the very least of these things though. They need to refresh the logo for several somewhat obvious reasons. But they have other things to fix first.

I wrote "for the most part". The decline in the antique business is a very real thing. Look it up if you don't believe me. Here is one antique dealer and estate liquidator writing about the trend last fall:

That is the trend that Cracker Barrel is on the wrong side of in terms of their theme and decor.

Evidently, antiques are not the only marketing trend that’s gone passe’ for the general market.
As Signtist notes above.

It appears CB has chosen to retain Uncle H and antiques for now, eschewing other choices from their official website.
i’m not adding a link. there are numerous reports.

P.14 / The similarities between the marketing fiascos of Bud Light and CB are why CB appears in this topic.

Multimillion dollar mistakes result. Mama, that’s a lotta cornbread. $$$$
