My level of concern about it being “impolite” to visit a church service is about zero. I would be far more concerned with making someone feel comfortable that I sat next to on the subway

I think we would all do well to realize that there is a difference between a church "meeting" and a church "service." Regardless of which is in keeping with the biblical narrative or where the tradition of either comes from...
The fact is that some traditions hold meetings of their church on a regular basis, which might have outsiders invited to but in general is a gathering meant for the enrichment of the church.
Other traditions might very rarely have a church meeting, and instead regularly hold church services, where the church is serving the wider community by giving them the gospel; whether members of the church are in attendance isn't important because they have heard the gospel.

There is a big difference between these two traditions. For a church meeting, it is expected that members attend, and not expected for seekers to attend without being invited. Some churches might hold regular Sunday meetings and still be eager for seekers, but it's still a "meeting". For a church service, it is expected that seekers and visitors will attend. Many churches end up doing services all the time, so even though it's not particularly fruitful, it is expected for members to attend, even though these services are seeker-oriented.

The Bible is very easy to understand. But we Christians are a bunch of scheming swindlers. We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand we are obliged to act accordingly.

Any conservative Mennonite churches around Miami, Florida?
I’m told that there is a SE one, but it’s in Spanish.

Apologies for the delay. I can help you here.

There is a BMA connected group meeting in Miami. I know the leader reasonably well:

https://regenerationsouthflorida.church

If you want more information I can reach out to Matt. I interact with his sister on a weekly basis. IF you go there, tell him one of the Baltimore people sent you.

Thank you! We went there this morning. I told him how we found them.

I am somewhat familiar with both. Pelke is okay, but if time and distance were not the issue I'd pick Dorchester. I say this because I believe Dorchester might be the place known to me as Athens, lead by Lee Rufener.
Does anyone know if Athens is still going on / if Lee Rufener is still leading it?

I apologize if I misread the post and my question is too off topic. But if somebody is unable to attend a Conservative Anabaptist church because it is too far away, what would you suggest they do? I have been reluctant to attend a church of a different denomination than that because I feel uncomfortable at the idea of being around people who view Christianity in such a different way. But fellowship is important. What would you suggest?
