Enlisting in the Russian Army in the middle of a war and thinking that you will have any say in anything just beggars belief.

Or maybe it is just American arrogance in thinking that you will have privileges that no ordinary Russian is afforded.

Honestly, the same thing would be true with the Ukrainian army as well. Although from what I’ve heard your chances are better if you volunteer versus draft to survive.

And it also is situationally true in the military in the US as well. The contract is only as good as your capabilities to own up to your end of the bargain…

The US military also enlists noncitizens hoping for green cards. I remember seeing a list of the casualties from Iraq published in the NYT and there were many noncitizens.

Process for that is easy. For whatever reason people kept putting it off. My petty officer for our division only did it after maybe eight or nine years.

I think that ICE might as well hire noncitizens. ICE is going to have to ramp up somehow. They should arrest people, then put them in uniform and give them a badge, put them to work. That would be fun.

i think that’s a stretch.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

We were told the war would end. was it on inauguration day?
"Russian attacks on Ukraine double since Trump inauguration" Instead the opposite is happening. Why?
