It is honestly not girls fault that a lot of guys aren’t particularly marriage material. Frankly the bar is not that high. Clean yourself up, get your act together, and be thoughtful, responsible, and kind. Yet that seems to be too high of a bar for a lot of guys. Stop spending every single last dollar you make on your truck, guns, and video games. Not to hard.
That's an odd criticism. Is it wrong for young men to decide to spend money on fixing up their trucks and keeping them running? Video games are not particularly expensive; while they are a gigantic time sink, women spend as much money as men do on video games (remember that most games in turns of revenue are pay-to-play mobile phone games now).
Stop spending every single last dollar you make on hair, nails, and mobile phone games. Not too hard.
See how that sounds?
The complaint, at least in the working classes is that there aren’t enough marriageable men, not that there aren’t enough marriageable women.

In any event, I wasn’t talking about guys fixing up old trucks. I was talking about guys buying $70,000 F250s and the like for suburban commuting and getting themselves saddled with $1200+ a month truck payments such that they can’t afford anything else in their lives, even the rent to get themselves out of their parent’s houses. I see that around here with guys I have taught.

My nephew spent every last dollar (no loans) on multiple F-250s, 350s, and 450s.

He’s also married and got married when he was 20.

Well….is the decline in marriage (outside of plain circles) due mainly to a lack of “marriageable” men or women? Here is what one study says: https://abc30.com/post/study-shortage-o ... -/5528921/
The nation has seen a steady decline in marriages and a new study by Cornell University blames it on a shortage of economically attractive men for unmarried women to marry.

"Most American women hope to marry but current shortages of marriageable men - with a stable job and good income - make this increasingly difficult, especially in the current gig economy of unstable low-paying service jobs," said lead author Daniel T. Lichter, PhD, of Cornell University.

The study focused on opposite-sex couples.

Researchers looked at the sociodemographic characteristics of unmarried women's potential spouses who resemble the husbands of otherwise comparable married women.

They found different racial groups, especially black women, face serious shortages of potential marital partners, as do unmarried women with either low or high socioeconomic status.

According to the study, estimated potential "dream" husbands had an average income about 58% higher than the actual unmarried men currently available to unmarried women.

They are also 30% more likely to be employed and 19% more likely to have a college degree.

"Marriage is still based on love, but it also is fundamentally an economic transaction," said Lichter. "Many young men today have little to bring to the marriage bargain, especially as young women's education levels on average now exceed their male suitors."

In other words, there are plenty of brides but not enough grooms.

Hmm. Do women expect men to make a higher income than women do?

If we achieve pay equality between men and women, it will be very hard for women to find "marriageable" men who make a higher income than the women do.

The survey didn’t say that women want men to make more money than they do.

Just that women wanted men to make more money than they actually do.

Not the same thing at all.

Looks like exactly the same thing to me. Unless of course "they" manages to change meanings between sentences.
