I painted 8 outside window frames in the 95 degree heat today.

I hope you didn't become ill in that heat. We're getting a rough round of heat this week. I'm postponing a number of outside chores because it's just not safe. The AC doesn't seem to stop running either. It's a new unit we put in last year so hopefully it will hold up.

It's so hot I'm not even smoking meat.

I spent a lot of time the past two days in 95+ on roofs.

Look up radiant barrier for your attic. Can help a lot for the cost.

When I was growing up, 90 - 95 F temps were normal in the summer. There were no "weather alerts" or "heat emergencies". We did not have air conditioning until I was 7 or 8, and then it was just a wall unit in one room.

My dad was telling me last night that back in the 60s/70s, at his workplace once the temps were above 100 F, the men were allowed to show up to work without their suit jackets on. They still all wore long sleeved (white) shirts.

You must have a good tolerance of heat, Robert! I could never tolerate it. I don't know how you do it!
Thank you for suggesting that. I'll see if it's already up there. This house was refurbished about a dozen years ago. I'm hoping they put that in when they put on the metal roofing.

I've done roofing in weather that melted the shingles. Never again. Stay safe!

At the moment, a spectacular sunset. Deep pink-red-orange clouds with blues-greys and black sillouettes of trees.
Layers of intense colors. Changing fast, though. It will soon be dark.
