Illegal alien arrivals now greater than American births?

Jesus came and brought salvation to the entire world, not just the ethnic Israelites and a handful of converts; now, we are all Israelites. Yet Jesus also taught us to that we no longer war with flesh and blood, but rather do spiritual battle with principalities and powers set up in high places.

Instead of slaying idol worshippers… we show them what Jesus taught us and invite them to join us. The old pagan religions of Europe are extinct, but not because the Roman Christians exterminated them. The Roman religion is extinct, but not because Christians from Palestine waged war on Rome.
2. You argue that God's commands to care for the stranger didn't apply to Canaan. Does it apply to anyone today? Are there groups you believe it doesn't apply to?
I don’t believe the Old Testament law or commands are binding on Christians today. We are set free from the old law.

We do have Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan to teach us, which I apply as being kind to my neighbor (who is anyone who runs across my path) regardless of my opinion or feelings about them. I don’t think the Bible teaches us to uniquely lobby the government for certain immigration policies, though. I see Jesus teaching us to help bind up the wounds of those who are injured or ill; I don’t see Jesus teaching us to acquire low-cost workers and break immigration laws or else lobby to have immigration laws that make it easier to hire low-cost workers from migrant groups instead of hiring our neighbor for a fair wage.
3. How do see you God's commands to destroy the Canaanites fit in with your own understanding of pacifism? Do you see pacifism as universal or does it only apply to certain groups and people?
God is fair and just.

4. How do you believe this framework you're arguing reflects the Gospel of Jesus Christ? What is the Good News for immigrants and migrants who may need to leave their home because of persecution or economic hardship?

What needs to be done about this? Americans have already spoken resoundingly that we don’t want illegal aliens here. Housing costs are sky high due to the constant influx of people.

Illegal aliens get free medical care, free housing, and so on, whilst hard working Americans basically pay for all of this. Of course this was called a “conspiracy theory” a few years ago, but now it is obviously true and happening. The elites don’t like middle class Americans and want to replace them.
Why exactly is this a problem?
The wealthy trying to crush the middle class into poverty for their own pecuniary gain is a problem, as is the wealthy’s constant demand for low cost workers they can take advantage of.

Illegal immigration (or mass migration that the existing populace is opposed to) causes a great deal of turmoil and violence as well. I think it’s best to not constantly relocate people all over the globe for no reason, even if it benefits the wealthy and powerful to do so.

I do believe in respecting democracy. The democratic will in America is for no more mass migration, no more illegal migration, and for significant deportations / removals. The alternative is to say we don’t have a democracy and instead must just do whatever the wealthy and powerful want.

I think it’s good for people to have a connection to the land and to stay with the land - that means it’s good for people to be born where their ancestors were. God created peoples, nations, and lands for a reason and they are part of his instituted order.

If you have a different opinion that’s OK.

Just like I have relocated from time to time when it felt in the best interest of my family, as have my ancestors, so also I would advocate for others having that same dignity. I believe God created us in his image with the ability to innovate, create, move, generate etc. I don't believe the modern nation-state is part of God's Kingdom, but instead are kingdoms of this world which are run by the prince of this world. And they stand in opposition to and in competition with the Kingdom of God.

When the Kingdom of God is fully come, and I believe it will (as one who leans post-mill), the modern nation state with its grasping for power, territory, and coercive domination, will end.

The Bible describes nations (and tongues and peoples) as still existing in the kingdom of heaven, actually; the fact they still exist means some kind of delineation exists.

Do you think you should lobby the government to call for no borders and no immigration restrictions? Do you think as Christians we should try to obey laws like speed limits and immigration restrictions when they are not a matter of obeying God vs men?

That graph doesn’t even say what you think it does.

“Encounters” are not the people who got in. They are the people who were caught at the border and apprehended, the majority of whom were found to be inadmissible and expelled. They are also not a count of people. The same person could be caught at the border 5 times and expelled 5 times and would count as 5 encounters even though it was just one person.

And the main reason it went down in 2020-2021 was the Title 42 COVID emergency declaration which expired when the pandemic eased. Do you want to go back to the days of closed borders, mask mandates on airplanes, and vaccination mandates for international travel? Because it was all part of the same thing. The Biden Administration was doing Title 42 expulsions up into 2023 so the majority of those orange line “encounters” were people who were immediately turned around and sent back on Title 42 grounds.

I am lobbying for the way of Jesus, the golden rule, and Christian charity. And that the Kingdom of God would come on earth as also in heaven.

You're lobbying the government for that?

I have a hard time believing you don’t know Great Replacement conspiracy theory when you repeat it here.

This reminds me of discussions / reviews explaining the arguments made in S Wolfe's (fitting name btw) book, The Case for Christian Nationalism...
Maybe the internet did not form your framing/views, but maybe books like this did?

A Confessing Church would acknowledge the inescapable realities of sin and injustice in every human institution, including every political party. It would wholeheartedly reject any suggestion that one party or movement is the party of God. Paul D Miller

Never heard of this book nor heard of the author.

As I said, my views date back to 2001, and I was a quite die-hard liberal-progressive back in those days. I primarily viewed the constant population churn of peoples through a lens of workers vs capital at the time.
