i believe, “keep doing what you’ve always done, expect to keep getting what you’ve always got”.
i’m not thrilled with many decades of outcomes. esp protracted wars, many fatalities, billions-trillions wasted.
i think that’s pretty stupid. to put it mildly.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

I spent some time digging and actually looked at some Iranian news websites, they hosted memorial event for the defenders who died under the American attack. I don’t remember the exact number, but it was somewhere around 15.
thanks.

It remains amazing to see people so dedicated to Iran building a nuclear bomb.
Tell you what John, I’ll convince Iran to give up their pursuit of nukes. You convince the US to get rid of theirs too. First one to do so gets 20 bucks.

If it were 1935, I wouldn't be in favor of America building atom bombs either.
There’s a lot of Orwellian “war is peace” doublespeak going on in this thread. Suddenly
War is peace.
Violence isn’t violence.
Bombing is an act of restraint.
A preemptive strike is not an act of aggression.
And all of this desperate semantic twisting is being done to preserve a narrative that Trump is a “peace president” after he does things that are objectively not peaceful. It’s not even subtle. It’s the same absurd rationale that justified the invasion of Iraq by Bush.

Ken posted Vance’s comments a couple of days ago. You actually posted something unrelated directly after barnhart’s response. Here it is again for you viewing pleasure.

Vance today. This is the dictionary definition of hubris.
I certainly empathize with Americans who are exhausted after 25 years of foreign entanglements in the Middle East. I understand the concern, but the difference is that back then, we had dumb presidents, and now we have a president who actually knows how to accomplish America’s national security objectives.
This is the insane hubris you’re defending.

i disagree with all of this, without interest in breaking it down. these are your accusatory opinions, not fact.

I think this says a lot more about your argument than you realize. I think you won’t defend it because it’s logically incoherent. You’ve railed against US military action overseas for years but suddenly, when Trump bombs Iran, violence is no longer violence and war is no longer war.
It’s not hard to notice this shift even if you don’t acknowledge it.
