Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

He comes in as a customer &!I noticed he was getting prettier. He told me they fired him at the daycare as he is trans. He thought that was mean. I tried to explain why but he says he follows the Bible. Come to find out his sister is transitioning to a male!

Why is there more & more of this.

Why don’t Anabaptists seem to be having this issue (well for that matter I don’t know Christians that are actually).
I know of at least 5 cases, 2 are seekers and the others are mb and 1 “accepted” baptist trans.

The plain Anabaptist culture just doesn't produce people with a "transsexual" identity. Same sex attracted people certainly do exist, and as we know, that is typically caused by childhood sexual abuse, so it is not surprising when pockets of abuse exist here and there. (This is yet another reason why rooting out any kind of abuse should be a very high priority, and why those who have conspired to cover it up ought to be very ashamed of themselves, stripped of leadership, and publicly shamed. But I digress.)

I'm guessing around 1% or so of people are same sex attracted without any kind of childhood trauma. In my group, such people exist, but transsexual people simply don't. I can think of exactly one person who was a woman who later identified as a man, and that's out of 30,000 people. It just doesn't happen.

How many have you encountered who are ethnic plain Anabaptists, i.e., grew up in a plain household and culture?

As I said, 2.

That being said, it would not honestly surprise me if there were more that just weren’t willing to mention it or admit

My information and numbers comes an out-of-proud homosexual who before he came out, networked with basically every other closeted person in our circles. He agrees it is surprising transsexualism is so rare, since garden-variety homosexuality isn't.

It might become more common now that it is way more common on broader society. Keep in mind that 75 years ago, transsexualism basically didn't exist.

Oh, it existed. Just not openly and in middle class society. And we didn't have the medical interventions back then. But there were plenty of women basically living male lives, dressing in pants and boots, etc. We just called them "tomboys. For men it was more difficult because effeminate men have always been more socially transgressive than masculine women. But they did carve out spaces for themselves in big cities and bohemian places. But people have always blurred and crossed gender boundaries. In every society in history.

When it comes to sex and sexuality, there is really nothing new under the sun. Humans haven't changed much at all since ancient times.

From Gallup:
Close to three in 10 Gen Z women, 28.5%, identify as LGBTQ+, compared with 10.6% of Gen Z men.
Sorry, Ken, but, in the past, 30% of women did not think they were gay or trans.

If you drill down you will find that most of those 30% are women who consider themselves bi. In the past I think it was highly plausible that there were many women living normal heterosexual lives but who also found women attractive. Which is the definition of bi.

Objection, your honor: assumes facts not in evidence.
