I saw a review and a couple of excerpts and thought it sounds good.

Excellent book and I recommend anyone with kids, or who cares about kids’ future, pick up a copy and read it.Silentreader wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 12:53 pm Anyone familiar with "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt?

The War Came to Us: Life and Death in Ukraine by Christopher Miller.
Chris was in the Peace Corps and lived in the Donbas when Russia invaded in 2014.

And It Was Good: Reflections on Beginnings by Madeleine L'Engle.
She starts with the premise that Genesis may not be science or history, but the stories are true in a spiritual or moral sense. Then she proceeds with her commentary in no way questioning the authority of the scripture. I recommended this book to a liberal friend who holds a low view of scripture, primarily because of evolutionary views.

For several weeks I have been reading Ephesians over and over. One new thought: the armor of the last chapter is based on images found in Isaiah and the Psalms where God wears it. It's an invitation to enter battle with him.
