Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

I would not worry about it. Typical tactic to slay the messenger.
I was simply pointing out that the original tweet (or message) about road rebuilding was demonstrably false. The highway is nowhere near rebuilt let alone 3x faster and cheaper. They are only just getting started. I wasn't the one claiming this guy was a Democrat until Hurricane Helene. But it looks from the public record that that claim is false too.

He is also sharing (or generating) a whole lot of misinformation.

As for being a "lifelong Democrat?" Voting records are public in North Carolina. In the past 10 years it appears he has only voted once and that was in the November 2024 election in which he was registered as "unaffiliated" and not Democrat or Republican. There is no record of him ever being registered as a Democrat or voting in any Democratic primary.
Maybe he is new to North Carolina?
Voting records show he registered in NC in 2021 as an independent and only voted once...in the Nov 2024 general election.
Well good for him. It would be too bad if he had voted multiple times in the same election.

Fantastic. :hi5
In a little more than a month, NC rebuild has seen more progress than it did in the 4 months under Biden. The Army Corps of Engineers have been involved thanks to Trump and they have shown how to eliminate some of bureaucratic red tape problems that drives up both cost and delays. The bridge at Swannanoa is rebuilt which is a huge bonus for access.
Of course diehard Democrat supporters are wailing and trying to slay the messenger because it exposes the disastrous Democrat bureaucracy that impeded NC’s recovery.

It’s been getting better and better. Bad things happening gives an opportunity for help from Christians who can be walking talking examples of the NT. Conversions are happening. I don’t think it was an accident that Asheville was hit so hard because it was a wake-up call for many who didn’t believe in God or never heard the the Good News.

I am looking forward to working with a crew from our church in Swainsboro, Georgia this coming week. They say we might be roofing a house. Did you guys ever hear about my mad roofing skills? Me either.
