I suppose Amish and Mennonites think differently
We do not think we need to somehow inoculate our 18 year olds against getting pregnant
We would consider fornication a far graver problem than a pregnancy. Babies and children are a blessing. Fornication and barrenness are a curse.
Yes, obviously. Most Amish also don't have best friends whose moms went to college either.
This thread and every statistic cited here about college attendance, marriage and child birth is more about the other 99.9% of the population who aren't Amish or conservative Mennonite.

I believe the other 99.7% of the population should also refrain from fornication and other grievous, life-destroying sins.
Barrenness is a curse?
just how hateful can you be?

I am wondering also. Where in the NT?
Even in the OT it is not a curse, for in Galatians (4:27 OJV) Paul quotes Isaiah 54:
Rejoice, O barren,
You who do not bear!
Break forth and shout,
You who are not in labor!
For the desolate has many more children
Than she who has graduated from college.

Genesis 20:18 is where barrenness was caused by God and lifted by God. Deuteronomy 28:18, 2 Samuel 6:23 also. I think it is reasonable to read these account as barrenness being a “curse”.
In Genesis 30:23 the end of Rachel’s barrenness is referred to as a removal of reproach.
But no, most barrenness is not a curse from God in that sense.
Meanwhile, we could also say that being uneducated is also a curse:
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Job 36:12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge:
And to tie the two topics of children and education together nicely, we have Hoses 4:6:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.“
