Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

Don’t you claim injecting live measles virus into your body is good for the body?

I think the claim was that she was also sick with something else like whatever the infection is that’s been going around (the Pope is still in the hospital due to it), which I had myself for several weeks, as did my dad, a podcaster I listen to, and many others. Measles is a disease with very low mortality.
Doesn’t seem like that’s what they’re arguing or suggesting in the interview.

I think previous reporting said they were Old Colony Mennonites from Mexico who relatively recently immigrated from Mexico up to Texas.

The MMR vaccine is what? Over 97% effective in completely preventing measles? And also significantly reduces the severity of the disease and its complications in those 3% of cases that it still occurs.

So yes, it is good for the body because it prevents a disease that can cause permanent disability or death.

The vaccine is a weakened form of the virus. The dad in the interview said contracting measles helps protect you from cancer, etc...all this after he lost his daughter.

Reminds me of the one individual I knew who was in the ICU for weeks and barely survived, and then afterwards informed my mom that she would never take the COVID vaccine, despite what she suffered. Her congregation is now trying to pay millions in medical expenses.

Millions of expenses for a few weeks in an ICU? Sounds like the hospital is overcharging.

I didn't write a "few weeks".

I suppose “weeks” could range from 2 to a very large number.

Any hospital bill in the millions needs to be taken up with their financial counselling office and discussed further. They will normally deeply discount such a thing, and care for Covid patients without insurance was covered in full by the federal government anyway back in 2020. I would advise them to fully explore their options.

Barring that, they should pursue bankruptcy, unless they’re a multi-millionaire…

His daughter will never get cancer, so he might have a point. :(
