Chest of drawers wife is painting. Birds are stencils. Flowers are hers.

Great job! My wife is inspired. She likes the idea of using stencils instead of me drawing stick figures.

Moving day. Our two guest families can go back to their homes. They’re pretty excited.

One of them still had a house but it was unlivable until it was repaired. They’re heading out this morning. They could have gone Friday but we told them to wait to see what kind of impact that front would have. It was causing tornados, etc fortunately the winds weakened but there was still a lot of rain and the thought of floods still haunts folks.

The other family’s house washed away. They’ll get to move into their new home by the end of next week they’re hoping.

Had to bury our Blue Healer today. She was sick for the past week and could not get better. She was a sweet little dog. Buried her under a big tree on some acreage she used to love to run on.

Thanks for the kind words. It was just a dog. I was attached, but keep it in perspective.

Supper tonight. Mexican Lasagna. Tortillas layered with salsa, cheese and refried beans. She added some crushed nacho cheese chips also.

Today is a rest and floor cleaning day. The second family moved into their new home yesterday. Everyone pitched in to help them. All the donated items and furniture were set up in their respective rooms. Their first rooms organized were the kitchen and bedrooms. Good night’s rest and healthy meals help mental recovery too.

It may have been just a dog, but for some reason our furry friends have a way of intwining themselves in our hearts. Because of our little friend who thinks she is the queen of the household we cannot have nice living room furniture, are constantly dealing with cat hair, and we can't leave anything small on the counter. Why? Because our little furry friend loves to scratch the furniture, even after getting her a scratching post, she ignored it and continued scratching the furniture. In the spring she sheds a lot, and I need to brush hubby's trousers before going to church, lest he has hairs clinging to him. She is NOT allowed on the kitchen counter, but the minute I leave the kitchen I hear her pushing whatever she can off the counter. She is naughty, a brat, and crazy at times. But we would miss her terribly if she were gone. She is a very pretty black, orange and white cat.
