Can GPT be Reliable?

Where we talk about modern advancements like the abacus and printing press.

Well, that's how Trump got politically noticed, but I'm thinking of the US Constitution, 14th Amendment, section 3.

It forbids anyone who has engaged in insurrection (a court found this to be true, and the finding was not overturned) from holding any office under the United States or any state.

He is not a legitimate president.
This exact question went to the courts and they said the opposite.

Trump hasn’t been convicted of “insurrection”.

He was not convicted; it was a court finding. Those who rebelled against the US in the 1860s who were disqualified by the 14th Amendment had not been convicted either.

Please show me a court case that found he had not engaged in insurrection.

He is a convicted criminal, and only his wealth and political power prevented dozens more felony convictions. Anyone else who committed the crimes he did would be in prison, probably for the rest of their lives.

A “court finding” in a civil case doesn’t make one a felon or otherwise make one ineligible to hold office.

In America we are innocent until proven guilty. I don’t have a court code that found I didn’t engage in insurrection either.

None of his alleged crimes disqualify him from holding office. The actual “crimes” you are claiming are not ones that most people would be sent to prison for life for, either.

Read the indictments:

The legal analysts I've read declared these to be very strong cases. Only a die-hard Trump supporter on the jury who failed to make that known to the judge during jury selection would have prevented conviction.

It used to be that AI models didn’t have the context of the current date and had to rely on information that was current as of their training but that’s no longer the case. Remembering the recent German elections, I asked ChatGPT who the current chancellor and it told me, incorrectly, Friedrich Merz. He almost certainly will become chancellor very soon but for now it’s still Olaf Sholz—kind of the opposite problem but it does show it has access to very recent information. So I asked about the chancellor of Austria and it correctly told me Christian Stocker who has been chancellor since Monday.

I’d be willing to bet money that they put a lot of effort (for well-known reasons) into nerve stapling ChatGPT so it would never saying that Donald Trump is President under any circumstances. It might be they can’t take it out without retraining a new model.

More or less what he said at the end in regards to art: AI takes in something average and gives you back the average. The same is true of anything it gives you: it will give you an average of what went into it. If its inputs are Marxist bloggers you’re going to get mediocrely written mediocre standard Marxist opinions. If the inputs are weighted to standard American media, you’re going to get mediocrely written mediocre opinions and analysis of standard American opinion. It’s never going to give an answer with the assumptions of, say, a golden age Athenian, a medieval Zoroastrian, or a modern day Haitian. In a broad sense it’s just repeating back to us what we collectively want to hear.

… yet he wasn’t convicted. An indictment is not a conviction.

One advantage of grok is it is far more accurate on up to date information.

One reason why I use Grok over ChatGPT. ChatGPT has a couple of issues. One is outdated information. They do limit it for some reason intentionally. Two, it has been found to be full of incorrect information and woke stuff infused a lot. It actually promotes LBGT agenda. Three, I have never found the ChatGPT interface and Grok came along as a link on X. Made it much more convenient. I am kind of lazy and slow.
