Which childhood disease do you want to look at for a before and after picture of the effect of vaccines? Measles? Pertussis, Rubella? Smallpox? Diptheria? Polio? Take your pick.
It’s your chart! It shows a sharp decrease before vaccines were introduced.
As I said... graphs can be manipulated.
Back when my mother was a child, everyone got measles pretty much. I would hazard a guess everyone at that time knew someone who had been hurt by the disease permanently.
John, its one thing to stand against abortion derived medicine, but the data shows just by even the data from these outbreaks of measles that the vaccine works. If they rolled out the old ethical single measles vaccine tomorrow, my children would be in line.

That’s true. But the sharp decrease in childhood illnesses predated mass vaccination campaigns. That’s the actual, real data

Show the data. Ken's graphic is childhood death rates.

… which decreased before 1960. Vaccines have nothing to do with eliminating childhood illnesses/death, and I’m tired of pretending they do.

Then show the data that childhood illnesses were decreasing prior to vaccines.

I plan to wait until HHS releases all the full data without bias.
So... you are making a case on science that has unsubstantiated data you can't produce because the available data has bias? How are you determining the incident rates prior to 1960 if the data has bias you found to be in error?

It is a chart of childhood mortality (from all sources) which illustrates the point that millions upon millions of children used to die in childhood before modern medicine of which vaccines are only one part. The biggest cause of death in the 19th century was actually tuberculosis which was controlled (but not eradicated) with antibiotics, quarantines, sanitation, and other science-based methods.

Right. If you want to argue that vaccines don't work, go ahead. What are you going to do as an alternative? Bloodletting? Homeopathy? Bag balm?

The death rate plummeted in 1950. What reason do you give?
