tires are a big cause, I am told, of pollution both in the form of "greenhouse gasses", microplastics, and other things. it would be "green" and "good for the environment" to be having tires that last longer, and that are also made out of less material.

I'm impressed with a car that can change its rim size just depending on the trip. what will they come up with next - self driving cars? tires that inflate themselves?

Is that a new feature on Teslas? Sort of a self healing capability?

I wouldn't know. I don't own a Tesla. Although who knows? it could be among the ridiculous and outrageous claims that Musk has made over the years.
