There are currently 5 members of Congress that are of Indian descent out of 535 members of Congress. That is 0.9%

According to the 2020 Census there are approximately 4.4 million Americans of Indian descent out of 330 million which is 1.3%

Seems to me that Indian-Americans are slightly under-represented in politics.

It is entirely reasonable to notice that a great deal of leaders in English speaking countries (regardless of any former colonial connection to India; America has none), in both politics, small business, and big business, seem to be becoming dominated by Indians, and if one digs a little deeper, usually Brahmin-caste Indians. (Harris, Usha Vance, and Vivek Ramaswamy are all examples of Brahmins; Nikki Haley is Punjab/Sikh. Brahmins represent about 4% of Indians and Sikhs are about 1.5%. Yet they represent 100% of Indian-Americans running for President or Vice-President.)
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe Usha Vance is running for Vice President.

They tend to have their the on the top job like President, or perhaps Senate or governor, not some lower level thing like Congress.

No, I never said anything about a conspiracy. Why would you mind go there? Do you frequently impute things that weren’t actually said?

Who then is the Brahmin running for Vice President? You said 100% of the Indian-Americans running for Vice-President are Brahmin. To me it seems more accurate to say that 0% of Indian-Americans running for Vice President are Brahmin because there are no Indian-Americans running for Vice-President.

I'm just asking questions. If you're not claiming conspiracy, what exactly are the questions you're asking here?
It is also entirely reasonable to question if Brahmin Indian-Americans should be dominating the top offices across the land. It is entirely reasonable to notice that Indian-Americans are the wealthiest and the most privileged ethnic group there is in America, ranging from occupying seats in elite universities to proportions of senior level executives in American businesses. It is reasonable to ask if there may be a persistent nepotism underlying this ungoing process.

If India's Prime Minister were a white American, or over half of the people running for PM were white Americans or white American-Indians whose parents had migrated to India, the CEOs of many Indian businesses ranging from equivalents of IBM to Google to Microsoft, then similar questions probably would be being asked - and should be being asked.

There has been only one Indian-American Senator in the history of the US. That's Kamala Harris.

There are currently three Indian-Americans in the House of Representatives.

There have been 5 Governors and Lt. Governors with Indian ancestry (one of them, Mervyn Dymally, Lt. Governor of California from 1975-79 was Trinidadian with African and Indian descent).

That's not a lot.

I would appreciate it if you didn't put words in my mouth. I never said anything about a conspiracy. I am simply observing that there seem to be an awful lot of Indians (specificaly, Brahmins) vying for top posts, and not just in America but around the world.

For most of the election campaign, Kamala Harris.
You said 100% of the Indian-Americans running for Vice-President are Brahmin. To me it seems more accurate to say that 0% of Indian-Americans running for Vice President are Brahmin because there are no Indian-Americans running for Vice-President.
No, Szdfan, I never said such a thing. If you're going to put words in my mouth, at least make sure they're accurate.

I said:
Brahmins represent about 4% of Indians and Sikhs are about 1.5%. Yet they represent 100% of Indian-Americans running for President or Vice-President.
During this campaign, in the primary, we had these people vying for President or Vice-President:

- Vivek Ramaswamy (Brahmin); President
- Nimrata Nikki Randhawa-Haley (Sikh); President
- Kamala Harris (Brahmin); Vice-President until July 2024, then President

(Harris also ran for both President and Vice-President in 2020.)

I hope this explanation was helpful to you.
