I would think that depictions of pagan Greek gods would be MORE offensive to Muslims than Christians. Since Muslims are more obsessed about human imagery as a general rule. Islam forbids deification of humans through imagery which is exactly what this Feast of Dionysus scene depicted.

This was not a new theme, just taking lust+carnality to another venue.
It’s been going on for years+years, esp followng o bama’s second term as president.
Lighting up the White House was a major insult.

Satan has no need to offend Muslims. He wages war against the Church, you know, the Bride of Christ. Especially if he stirs up arguments between the faithful

Depictions of the prophet Muhammed would be offensive to them, particularly one done in a blasphemous, mocking style as this was done in its portrayal of artistic depictions of the Lord's Supper (despite their backtracking to claim it was something else).Ken wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:30 pmI would think that depictions of pagan Greek gods would be MORE offensive to Muslims than Christians. As I said, I'll be convinced once they're willing to do that.

It’s this painting that’s being referenced—
I think it's just damage control. Sponsors have been pulling out because of it. I've heard the title let's the cat out of the bag:
For those of you confused, the title of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics was literally called "La Cène Sur Un Scène Sur La Seine," i.e. "The Last Supper on a Stage on the Seine." Any questions?
