I like your food polls the best

Bagpipes can be polarising. They frighten both pets and people.

They are instruments for carrying sound across large distances outside. Like bugles, the higher frequency of the instrument’s range carries farther afield and also makes it possible to signal orders amid the din of battle. That was all before the invention of the hand-held wireless of course. The wireless presented another dilemma, that of the enemy listening, hence the use of the Navaho Code Talkers.

Apologies, the mind is prone to flights of divergence.

I know that as a banjo joke.

It works for accordions, too.

Truthfully, I have seen animals run and hide when the pipes start to play.

What is the difference between bagpipes and a hand grenade? There is no difference. Once you hear either one, it is too late.

What do bagpipes and a homicide have in common? Everyone is relieved when the case is closed.
