The whole quietly leave the church and not cause problems if you don’t agree.
Or cause lots of problems protesting everything until you get excommunicated.

i haven’t noticed any recent examples. who did i miss?
it happens. in a variety of ways. for varieties of reasons. including for fellowship requirements.

some silently withdraw.

some take a break, announced or not, then return.

a few return with apologies.

there are quite a few who are very much missed.

i wish everyone would check in - at least once a year. i really do.

A former missionary who also worked in our area does that on FaceBook. He has come and gone so many times that if a person would pay attention to it, they'd be so dizzy they'd have to leave too, just to regain their 'balance'.
