So long that they look like sideburns and mustache when he ties them together under his nose.

I will never forget the psych patient who requested a nose hair trimmer from the nurse.

It’s convenient when you’re talking to yourself.

I found this thread to be an interesting conversation. Personally, I support the full beard. And yes, if feel the mustache is part of God's beard design for men as a gender distinctive, and it should be retained without excuses generated by human reason. (Sorry if I am a bit too pushy here. I will not go any farther with that thought.) Some thoughts expressed by others in this thread brought me back to what I found to be an interesting YouTube presentation on "The Biblical and Historical Significance of the Beard" by John Weaver. Steve asked far back what was Eastern’s position.
It would be pretty difficult for a home grown Eastern man to have a beard. No moustaches period.
Those with beards need a reason, approved by the ministry, and those reasons vary.
I know of a few cases. A convert in his late 30s that had a beard but not for religious reasons since he was twenty.
Another convert who had vague reasons but they wanted to cut him a break. Of course cutting converts a break allows another reason to look down on him. LOL
And a few from Amish background for the sake of their Amish relations.

Yeah I never grew one and don’t want one. Just the daily combing to get all the food crumbs out makes it a no for me.
