Why are Christian businesses targeted .....

Post by MaxPC »

... by the homosexual community? The Christian baker who was exonerated by the Supreme Court has been dragged back into court by the Colorado officials. This is definitely persecution. There are Islamic bakeries that do not serve the homosexual community but they are not targeted. Just this Christian.

What are your thoughts regarding the reasons Christians are not targeted by the homosexual community and not the Muslims?

Perhaps it just doesn’t make the news yet it happens. Perhaps Muslims don’t tend to run airBBs, make wedding cakes or do wedding photography?

I suspect the intersection between LGBT is not as obvious with Muslims due to where and what the Muslims do and not to any specific targeting of Christianity.
A quick perusal of the news and I see many opinion pieces railing against Islam like against Christianity over LGBT rights

The main reason, I believe, is that they know the Islamic community is willing to use violence to defend their faith and their morals. However, the LGBT community is actually showing a lot of hatred towards Muslims too, such as in Hamtramck where the all-Muslim city council has banned any flags other than the state, American, and POW-MIA flag.

The city council simply doesn’t want Pride flags on public property yet the LGBT community is complaining they are being “discriminated against”. We can see how they always play a victim mentality, even when they are usually the ones perpetrating violence and otherwise using force and coercion.

Make no mistake, Muslims are being targeted around the globe by the LGBT agenda. One reason stated for America invading various Muslim countries was to bring “human rights”, i.e., promote gay lifestyles. The U.S. rather notoriously raises the pride flag at embassies in Muslim countries. (They should not be doing this, anywhere, but this is particularly offensive.)

LGBT community do not target Muslim's refusals because they AREN'T Christians. Add to that, they probably are frightened of Muslims. There are some predominately Muslim nations that still kill gay people.

I don’t think everything is distilled into hate of Christianity. LGBT dislike any religious groups that don’t accept them. Some Christians would be very happy if homosexuality returned to being a crime.

Maybe because it didn't happen?

The Colorado baker you are referring to isn't being dragged back into court by Colorado officials. He is suing to challenge a previous ruling from 2018 that the Colorado Supreme Court finally agreed to hear. He is dragging himself back into court, not the other way around.

And the Colorado wedding web site designer who's case made it to the Supreme Court? She turned out to be a liar. She was never a professional wedding web site designer in the first place and she lied to the courts about gay couples asking her to design wedding web sites. Which never happened because she didn't have a wedding web site business in the first place. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/03/us/p ... court.html

It would certainly reduce the spread of STDs. A sizable portion of these are from the LGBTQ community.

I realize you think that because this is MennoNet and not a court or a newspaper, it doesn't matter whether you post accurate information. But the article you linked to does not support your claim that she lied, or that she told the court that gay couples had asked her to design wedding web sites. Maybe you are just as much of a liar as she was? Or more?

It is an easy way to make money by taking them to court crying discrimination.
