I DO see the worse atrocities ever carried out by Hammas and paraded & cheered- they have to blur the details as the graphics should not be seen, in the video footage of these horrid attacks.
Here you go: https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/is ... aza-strip/
At least 765 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip by Israel's retaliatory airstrikes, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. At least 140 children there have been killed and 4,000 others have been wounded, it said.
Dead children are dead children, whether they are shot, cut up by swords, blown to pieces by a missile strike, or burnt to death in an incendiary attack.

When this happens to your home you end up dead or buried alive to die of suffocation and shock.

And this makes Hamas’s next recruitment drive much easier.

Much as 9/11 made it easy to get Americans stirred up to go to war.

I don't see anything about this problem that can be connected to God's promise to Israel, and my sympathies (whatever I may have) are not based on prophesies about Israel. I just know people there, have visited there a couple times, and I come away thinking that regarding Gaza, Israel has been forced into the defensive position because of Hamas.
So what if Israel would give Gaza residents who agree to not commit violence against Israelis, to live in Israel? Those who want Israel removed could stay in Gaza.

I interact with Afghan refugees and the US did this same sort of thing in Afghanistan when they felt they "had a right to defend themselves".

From a secular perspective, there is a big difference between defending one's self and attempting to punish those who do harm. Punishment almost always results in more than 100% retaliation. And that is how violence can result in war.

In the US, a murderer can be sentenced for life or to death for his crime. When countries go after other enclaves of "enemies" in other countries, they typically take out a lot of innocent people along with the bad. This is not justice. At the beginning of World War II, the allies shied away from bombing cities of innocents. By the end of the war, they were all participating in things like the Dresden bombing. https://www.history.co.uk/article/was-t ... -war-crime
Nobody ever had to answer for this, and justice was never seriously sought by the allies. The perpetrators have needed to answer to God in the years since then.

The bits i’m seeing look and sound grisly, two enemies committed to complete annihilation of the other.
This results in unlimited, unmitigated “collateral damage” of innocents.

“Death is death,” has its limits; even in courts of (U.S.) law, heinous crimes can be, and are expected to be, judged more harshly.
There are historical differences in how cultures view heinous acts. Repulsion incites anger and desire for vengeance.

It’s all so dismaying. (i suppose) there will be an uptick in (authentic) terrorist attacks around the world. Bloody attacks.
Not young mothers attending school board meetings in attempt to peacefully protect their young ones from perversion, porn and smut.

God have mercy.

So they could continue to use Gaza as a staging ground for terrorism and intafadas?

I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking. It would indeed be a strange Hamas member, to be truly committed to the annihilation of Israel, and agree not to commit violence against Israelis. That might take some convincing.

It is my understanding that Israel does sort of do that. Since 2021 at least, they give some of the Palestinians work permits that allow them to come and go from both the West Bank and Gaza. And last year, they increased the number. And it is my understanding that Israel was set to increase the number of work permits this year too. I don’t know though, what the process is, if any, for these people to live permanently in Israel. It would seem like a reasonable progression to go from work permits, to permanent residency.

But now Hamas has probably torpedoed any progress on this matter.

Exactly my thoughts too.

Well, it was one local BLM office in Chicago. But yes, rather abhorrent of them. Basically no different than the various conservatives who side with Russia in the Ukraine war. All of them are endorsing terrorism.
