It is nice to know I have my own full-time personal editor here. I certainly need it since spelling and grammar have never been my strong points.

For the record, Sattler College has sent not one, but TWO students to medical school. One to the University of Pennsylvania (acceptance rate 1.17%), and the other to the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, (acceptance rate 3.29%).
Sattler has also announced a slate of board members from a variety of constituencies and backgrounds, including evangelicals, Anabaptists, and German Baptists.
It's fine if you dislike the Sattler project. Not everyone likes everything. But at least please be informed about it.
Oh, and as far as I've been able to tell in my year of working here, we're not strapped for cash.
As far as cost of attendance is concerned, all students receive a grant toward the sticker price of tuition. The most any student pays for tuition, room and board is around $20000, which is less than most people are paying to live in Boston.
Most students are paying between $15000-18000 per year, with some paying as little as ~$12000, which only covers room and board.
Oh, one last thing, as to student loans.
Sattler has recently started offering students loans of up to $5000 per year interest free, with a single annual administration fee of several hundred dollars. The loans are to be repaid within two years of graduation, or other arrangements made.

I hope it works out, but the people who have left paint a pretty clear picture of the primary problem.brothereicher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 1:21 pm For the record, Sattler College has sent not one, but TWO students to medical school. The problem isn’t academics. I suspect you have seen the internal stuff which was only released privately but it’s pretty convincing of what the problem is.

We'd possibly disagree as to the cause of the primary problem, but this comment thread was full of aspersions regarding the quality of the education offered at Sattler, which is what I was responding to. The board announcement went out publicly over a month ago.Soloist wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 1:27 pmI hope it works out, but the people who have left paint a pretty clear picture of the primary problem.brothereicher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 1:21 pm For the record, Sattler College has sent not one, but TWO students to medical school. Do you have pictures of your biology and chemistry teaching labs? I'd love to see them.brothereicher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 1:31 pmWe'd possibly disagree as to the cause of the primary problem, but this comment thread was full of aspersions regarding the quality of the education offered at Sattler, which is what I was responding to. For example, this is Eastern Mennonite University's anatomy lab

These are their science resources: https://emu.edu/biology/facilities
These are the chemistry labs at Goshen College: https://www.goshen.edu/academics/chemis ... acilities/

Why don't you come to Boston and visit Sattler for yourself?
We'd be glad to show you around our facilities, and even cover your plane fare. If you're interested, you could even give a pearl at Tea Time.
Our experience has been that when people come and see for themselves, they discover that they have had some misconceptions about us. I'd love to make it work.
Or, you could come to our Open House. Here's the link. Hope to see you.

Sattler College does not own laboratory facilities, nor does it pretend to.
Our students are able to use lab facilities at several colleges in Boston.
The fact that we don't own the facilities doesn't keep our students from getting an education that prepares them for amazing careers that have included grad school, med school, PA school, and jobs at laboratories within Boston. We've had students who participated in research studies and even been named in peer-reviewed journal articles.
The fact remains that Sattler is making it possible for students to receive a world-class education for a fraction of the cost of many other colleges.
Once again, I invite you to come to Sattler and see for yourself.
