Vote & discuss.

I feel racism just isn't a race/ethnic/country of origin thing. We all have our prejudices about people.

Vote by your own definition of the term.

We have several beautiful adopted non-white children and young adults in our extended family. When it comes to them, no racism.

But when I look at the prominent newspaper here in Lancaster County and almost every day, there are major crimes reported with the perp being either black or Hispanic, I have negative feelings about them.

My wife's side is pretty diverse. In fact, my son is currently dating a non-white girl.

Or maybe his son is dating someone on his wife’s side.

I expected OJ to have such comments. But you two are a close second. :D

Having negative feelings about crimes isn’t racist.
Unless you distort those feelings to be used against (a group) in entirety .. which seems unlikely, given your second sentence above.
We can be sure, law-abiding POC have negative feelings about crime, too. They are most often the direct targets.

i chose 5. i’m human, imperfect; my guess is, most people, all descriptions, would fit 5.

i sometimes have to fight being prejudiced against white folks. imho, this is a growing problem across the board in the U.S.
i would not say this is by accident.

i’m not sure there are any families left who aren’t mixed race, including by legal marriage, as well as never-marrieds procreating without marriage, often with multiple partners. (unlike current president biden, i count children born out of wedlock to be family members.) Thinking in terms of extended time, the world may eventually become a homogenous shade of beige .. ??

i have one family member with 5 boys, i believe 5 fathers, one white. the white child is deceased. i’m pretty sure there are more with similar families .. i’m not in close contact with a lot of my living family. over years, many moved away, connections lost.

When i was very young ..
i used to wonder why God created different skin colors? .. when it leads to so many problems?

eventually, i concluded, no matter.
thing is, the human compulsion for conflict is so strong, if it weren’t for skin color, it would be about something else.
so many brutal conflicts in world history (and presently) have been between people who look just like each other.
on-every-continent.

Sadly, in the U.S., racism/reverse racism has been institutionalized by racists who profit from not allowing it (a certain definition) to fade, under any circumstances. IT’S BIG BUSINESS. Protected, promoted, rewarded, funded by government, everyone’s tax dollars. It’s an idol.

No one blinks an eye at privileged, wealthy “victims” openly mourning their victimhood. It’s expected. It’s encouraged.

When it comes to big profits, nothing needs to be true or make sense. Whatever it takes for power+profit.

If I am being honest, there are subcultures in any race that terrify me.

As a whole, I don't say "all xyz people are something negative", but come at me with stereotypical negative behaviors and I bristle and avoid.

I don't think that is necessarily racist. It is an inborn sense reading room and keeping myself safe.

I have a poor attitude towards college-educated white people and have to remind myself to affirm their humanity and treat them like individuals instead of group stereotypes.

A scale of 1 to 10 is a wide margin. I chose 3, it felt right. I'm still learning things every so often about the cultural heritage of nonwhite people that affect so much about one's outlook on life and the values they form and the choices they make.

The Bible is very easy to understand. But we Christians are a bunch of scheming swindlers. We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand we are obliged to act accordingly.
