This is what Democrats do.
The hope can be conservatives do not fall into the temptation of overly organized political tactics.
The hope for a lingering UNorganized diverse population is what makes the U.S. unique and desirable.
Otherwise, it’s just another intolerant self-serving cabal, like any number of others.
We can pray not to fall into the “Efficiency god” that is so tempting to human reasoning.
It’s a struggle. But the ultimate efficiency is no life at all. This leads to our present culture of death!

Of course conservatives use overly organized political tactics! The fact the Supreme Court will be dominated by conservatives for the next generation is because of political manipulation that prevented Obama from nominating Merrick Garland and an inconsistent approach that gave Trump three nominations. The fact that the conservative Federalist Society is a feeder system for federal judges is a political tactic. The overturn of Roe V. Wade is the result of 50 years of political organizing.temporal1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 9:12 am The hope can be conservatives do not fall into the temptation of overly organized political tactics.

Conservatives are extremely politically organized and they play dirty all the time.

Do you support Roe V. Wade and all that entails for the lives of the unborn?Szdfan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 9:59 pm

Re: Elon Musk. Twitter. Babylon Bee.
This could be an interesting separate topic (i’m not planning to begin).
Of course politicians are political. Dirty? .. Probably overall yes, probably determined in the eye of the beholder.
The ancient game of chess is based on military and political strategy. Nothing new.
However. i’m not sure there’s anything in history that can compare to what’s happening in law and the public treasury to directly fund, protect, promote depravity and amorality into the domestic culture AND to export it into others, as priority policy. (Was even Rome guilty of this?) i literally sense we have a situation of cults getting into the legal system and public treasury. It’s wholly unpleasant to consider.
In my life i’ve seen a few horrifying cults come+go - - - none protected and funded with taxpayer dollars.
i admit dread about what’s unfolding. The culture of death, sacrifice of innocents, mutilation of children, are clues things are whacked. For profit, protected and funded by force of the sword. If these things do not strike fear into hearts, what will?
All that is another topic (i’m not planning to begin).
Back to Elon Musk, Twitter. Babylon Bee. easy light-hearted stuff.

“Twitter legacy blue ticks remain despite Elon Musk’s subscription threat”
Removal of verification badges reportedly could take a long time as it may involve many manual elements

.. As April fool’s day came and passed, the blue ticks remained, despite much anticipation.
As of Sunday, Musk appears to have only removed one blue tick: that for The New York Times.
This appears to have been done in retaliation for the news outlet announcing it would not pay for the service,
according to a reply from Musk. ..
