In the Mennonite Brethren tradition (I say "tradition" because I am now several decades separated from direct involvement in an MB congregation) persistent and unrepentant infidelity is reason for divorce. I know of one case where it became clear that one member of a couple had never been loyal, but had lived in infidelity not only during the entire marriage, but also during the engagement period. In this case there was an annulment.

Eventually her dad and family got tired of bailing out his financial problems since he continued to live in sin, refused to work, and continued to rack up debts. So a legal divorce was permitted.
so the divorce was because of financial reasons that impacted another male member of the family
interesting. divorce is permitted for financial reasons, but not for abuse of the female.
(i see) all those things as abuse of the spouse+children+extended family, and self-abuse. maybe not physical, but, i imagine it often involves the physical, as things become heated.

formerly on forum, there has seemed to be agreement that in cases of physical abuse, physical separation is needed and allowed?
i can imagine, sadly, some being forced to remain in places of all description abuse. i hope these are isolated cases.

emotional abuse is powerful. (and “we” are not good at identifying+responding.) a lot to learn.

There are definitely groups that support a person physically separating from their spouse in certain cases such as abuse. I’m not sure if there are any that would support actually filing for divorce in those cases. I’m pretty sure no conservative Anabaptist church would permit divorce in any case at all. Unless maybe if there was a case where it was learned that the marriage of a member or prospective member was not according to biblical teaching, in which case they might permit or even advocate legal separation or divorce since the marriage is not permissible.
Divorces can be adversarial and often are. What would a conservative church do when one spouse packs up and leaves and files for divorce and the other wants to stay? Assume no abuse or prima facia religious grounds for divorce. One spouse just wants out and to be gone from the church and files for an adversarial divorce?
In statistical terms, this doesn't happen in Conservative circles.
This might not happen enough to be statistically significant, but it does happen. It has happened to my family.

Divorce can be a bad thing, but God can work good from bad. Do you get bitter or get better? Our outlook on hardness dictates our future.

Didn't you say you grew up Amish? Did it happen in the Amish church, or after you or your family left?

In the Amish church
I had a congregant who was excommunicated from the Amish church after her father divorced her mother while they were still Amish.

So the whole family got thrown out of the church because the parents divorced?

Yes.
That’s messed up. And very different from how it was handled in my family. The remaining partner is still Amish to this day.
