Gender confusion

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

The laws though are trying to change so that the child can make their own choices regardless of parental desire. You can believe what you want but that is coming quickly.
It is actually the opposite. States around the country are criminalizing any sort of medical treatment for LGBT teens. For example, here is Idaho: https://www.hrc.org/news/idaho-house-pa ... nder-youth

There are actually over 20 states where laws criminalizing LGBT medical care have been introduced, under consideration, or passed.

The language+tone of the linked article from Idaho just above “paint the picture” of the battle to protect children+teens that’s underway, added to biden’s aggressive language this week on it, for some reason included in the Disrespect for Marriage Act celebration on The White House lawn.

Earlier in this thread, there are a few reports from MATT WALSH and others describing what’s happening “under the radar” that’s behind citizens realizing the need for states to act to protect vulnerable children from mutilation.

Evidently, there’s been another rape in a public school restroom, a 9th grade girl sodomized by a skirt-wearing male.

BEN SHAPIRO / “Why Are We The Only Ones Covering This?” / 9:30min

Description:
The family of the second girl assaulted by a Virginia teen broke their silence Monday.

They stated that her plight could have been avoided if not for the “ineptitude” of Loudoun County school officials who kept the skirt-wearing assailant in school, even after he was charged in an earlier bathroom rape.

The authors of the new testament speak about sin and degeneracy of their times in very explicit terms, especially as it creeps into and corrupts the church. I think the church needs more hostility towards the world's narratives, and especially towards agents of the world working to subvert the church eg: MCUSA. I think allowing those hostile to Biblical truth to have a seat at the table has been deeply harmful. This shouldn't be debate of equal voices, this is the truth vs lies, there is no debate, there is no discussion.

So far, loudly rejecting these narratives is working in plain communities quite well. Transgenderism is non-existent, which makes sense, because gender disorders in children resolve themselves by age 18 in something like 99% of cases unless there are very strong pro-transition influences in the child's life.
I think the ‘transgenderism’ is nonexistent because of this hostility you are so fond of. And it’s not because those people are somehow seeing the light, but rather they are leaving.

I’ve seen this happen, and those families have very lonely roads to travel because of all the hostility and very little compassion.

staying or going isn’t going to change the frustration/misery; it’s not ok to put the burden of these problems adult professionals know little about onto the shoulders of children+teens to expect them to magically resolve. there’s been ‘way too much of this.

childhood/teen years can be miserable. that’s part of it. we all have to wait for things we want RIGHT NOW.
i believe nett is correct in that the vast majority of these developmental miseries resolve themselves given time. probably not 100%.

but, no. expecting layfolks to know how to deal with problems beyond them, then accuse them of lack of compassion -
is not compassionate, either. but forcing all of it onto children+teens, “just because,” should be criminal. they deserve better.

(i have seen) families torn to smithereens trying to compassionately cope with serious mental illness, ending with poor results for the victim, too. sacrificing the entire family/community is not a good answer, either. it can take everything from everyone involved WITH various professional resources, and there’s still no guarantee of a positive outcome.

LIFE CAN BE HARD. blaming/guilting others for not having perfect answers is not useful.
no one’s an expert on these things! that’s, at best, a fairy tale, otherwise, outright lies.

i believe you mean well. sometimes that’s not enough.

I think there is a very large expanse between “not having perfect answers” and saying “the church needs more hostility.”

Are you saying the reason it appears to be non-existent in the playing communities is because if one is wrestling with transgenderism identity crisis they leave the plane communities? Any idea of statistics in that area? I often think of the Amish and Mennonite aside from MC USA who have followed the world, how God is revealing the difference between the plain communities and ability to resist the dissolution of gender roles- how the genders in plain communities thrive in their God created roles and therefore don't seem to be wrestling with these problems of LGTBQ. Do you not consider that perhaps God wants us to see what happens between those that live according to his creation and design and they're continuation of following hard after what he taught, to those as in Romans 1 who have turned away and therefore God has given them over to a debased mind? Do you not see how the enemy of our soul is bringing the confusion in?

Statistically, people leave plain churches at lower rates than any other denominations.

The absolute lowest would be orthodox mennonites, schwartzentruber Amish, and Hooverites. 3 of the most strict groups that exist in the anabaptist world.

I have not advocated for hostility towards the people who are struggling with these things, but rather towards the very real and conscious agendas that want to destroy those people. Christians cannot continue to pretend that all these institutions, born out of modernity are their friends.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Plus the top-down bullying from The White House to prevent-destroy parents and others from interferring in The Agenda to mutilate children. “Whatever it takes, however long it takes” - at taxpayer expense!

Organized political blocs are not human, not humane. They are so crafty, they literally push policies that harm society - while forcing society to pay for all of it! Like saying, you’re going to the guillotine - after you pay for it! Beyond evil.

No shame whatsoever. Caligula would be beside himself.

Elsewhere, on another matter:
Grace wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 11:44 am Inappropriate, but a typical condescending post from you.
“the church needs more hostility” is a deliberately poor characterization of persons pointing out The Truth, that when life is failing, returning to God’s perfect plan, is hostile. (clever wording!) - you get credit for that.

but it’s not helpful, not godly, and reflects a dark spirit. are you sure you want to live there? :)
i’m not convinced you do. i think you’re better than that. “sin is such a liar.” sin loves confusion+division. LOVES it!
nett:

i believe this is correct, both in nett giving context to his words and intent, and his advice/warning that “the world” does not have answers that resolve problems. Only temporarily+superficially. No substance.

Are mistakes made? - you betcha. evil does not rest. “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!” sin is such a liar.

This topic has many shocking examples of exploitation of children+teens. One after another.

Many adult homosexuals, adult trans, others de-transing, are 100% against child mutilation.
That’s the power of organized political blocs/lobbies/organized political ENTITIES.
They have no need nor intent to listen to anyone - not even those they purport to represent! They lie. They bully. No restraint.
They don’t even pay for their own tools. They steal from taxpayers to fund their wild antics. So ugly.
