How much patience & long suffering do you think you have?

A spin-off of this thread:

Like the other thread, it will vary from area to area in your life, so try to average it out. Vote and discuss as needed.

Probably, in and of myself, ZERO. I believe that God gives grace as it is needed. It is not a quality I can hold onto, unused. So I am totally dependent on the Holy Spirit of God in this area, as in most, if not all, areas of life. (Yes, I am a NEEDY person. I'm not in this just for "fire insurance".)

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

Was raised on a farm with lots of cats. Sometimes the cat herd had to be culled, by catching them (some were wild) and taking them to Green Dragon (before they discontinued selling cats) to be sold over the small animal auction. There was lots of scratching, hissing and biting. I know your comment is hyperbole, but I don't think we here on Mennonet are like those cats.

Robert, I admire your patience in dealing with us. Thanks so much.

And if some of you from outside of Pennsylvania don't know what Green Dragon is:

Our neighbors took them to Root's auction.

As far as the poll at hand, I am told I stick things out too long when I should have moved on sooner. That has been both an asset and a curse. One situation was a church relationship that I should have bailed a lot sooner. Another was an employment situation.

To that end, I had both a church and employment situations where I bailed too soon and wish I would have stuck it out a bit longer. But I was young and thought I knew everything 8-)

This might be the coffee talking, but out of the top ten most active threads (as of this morning), at least six are about politics... yet this poll has 8 votes out of 30+ active members.

I'll let this right here 8-)

How much patience & long suffering do I think I have?

well, what i portray, and what i feel are 2 completely different things at times.

case in point.
lady calls in to work, concerned about her husband, i don't think its cardiac related this time. she calls every other day, or so it seems. and she really should be calling the nurses, but she calls me, the authorizations and scheduling person, because, "you are so compassionate and you get things done."

uh, no, i really am not compassionate. all i want to do is get her off the phone. but the way to get that accomplished is to help her with her problem. just let me fix it and then you can go away.

so, no, what i portray, and what i feel are 2 completely different things at times.

This is being incredibly honest.
