Is a war ever wrong, I'm sure it is, but I'm in no position to adjudicate it, and it's definitely not clear in the case of Russia and The Ukraine. Russia could have been much more violent if the goal was merely violence and death for Ukrainians. I suspect Russia could have destroyed most of the large Ukrainian cities by air with much less loss to their own military.Bootstrap wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 4:33 pmDo you believe that war is ever wrong, Nett? Do you believe that killing large numbers of civilians who are no danger to you is immoral? Why or why not?
God appears to have justified doing "awful things" in the OT repeatedly, and there is no way to explain that in the liberal paradigm, which I believe is why most liberalism tends to lead to atheism, or gnosticism of some kind.
The Ukraine appears to be guilty of a lot of the same things that brought judgement in the OT, and I don't believe the consequences for evil have changed in the NT. Aligning with the West is not a good thing.
Since you're always trying to extract confessions out of people, how about I go.Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; - Jeremiah 51:20
Do you renounce the west, and NATO as an evil empire that committed horrific crimes against humanity?
